I am an experienced manager of adult nightclubs in the states and willing to lend my expertice in anyway necessary. I know inventories, percentages, pour costs, how so set up a physical bar, security, you name it I have done it. And, as long as I can make my student loan paymenst back home, I will run the sumbitch!
Seriously, sounds like fun, but let us drop all this free chagging, beer etc. I think most have done that already, at most you should receive a 20% discount, and maybe a VIP section, etc. Things that really do not cost that much but give one a sense of preference. All monies should be reinvested into the bar and ownership should be capped at a certain number, although at a later date you can still sell VIP memberships for the 10K baht just no ownership other than the initial group.
Also, I am more than a little serious about running it, I am completely drug free, drink maybe twice a year and DO NOT STEAL! :-D ÝMajor references and will do a piss test.
But nonetheless, I AM IN!

Just out of interest, what would most of you guys that have expressed 'a definite desire' to support such an enterprise, be prepared to go up to 'baht' wise under 2 circumstances.
Firstly your own circumstances, would you like a larger investment, or settle on the single share. Secondly, if the overall number of people involved was significantly lower then the 500 odd mentioned here, because we did not generate enough interest, what would be the maximum amount 'per investmanet' you would consider affordable, ie 20k, 50k, 100k, 500k blah blah.

I'm not sure I understand you question so, I'll ask for a clarification. By "larger investment", are you asking how much an investor would commit to this project? By single share are we still talking about the 10,000b figure that has been tossed around on this thread? Couldn't an investor buy multiple shares at 10,000b?
I'm sure you will find that some brothers are willing to throw-in for a minimum investment just 'because'. While other will be more serious (or more capable) of investing larger amounts. Put me in the more serious column. I'll tell you the amount by PM.

I was actually thinking of doing some investing in Thailand before this thread came along so, good timing!
I believe that to own a business in Thailand you have to have a Thai citizen as 51% owner. Is that correct? If so, how do you plan to get around that? Lease?
