I stopped by this place in July to hear salsa but al I found was a bunch of Thai gals listening to Thai music on the karaoke machine who were into their fun and not very frieidly..was not impressed...

That is a pity ---- !
I stopped by in late June and left a good collection of Cuban music plus my favourite Brasilian Jorge Ben (Jor).
Ask to listen to the Jorge Ben track 'Taj Mahal' and you will hear where Rod Stewart nicked the song 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' from. Mr Stewart had to pay a hefty out of court settlement. It's worth listening to for a bit of musical history.
I hope that this has not put you off as the Boss is a nice bloke to chat to.
I know you have to run the gauntlet of eager women to get to the Salsa Bar at the back but where don't you ?
If that bothers somebody why go to Thailand ?
