Very true, however, in the west the girls have a pay scale that can support time wasting wanker dancing.
The business in LOS is based on fast turnover. I am sure the girls would more readily approve of a system that speeds up the select - pay - f*** system more readily than wank - wank - wank - did I get you excited - pay system.
Face it. Men are money. The faster the access to the money, the better the personal economy of a BG moves along. Lap dancing while a chap sucks down a couple of hundred baht worh of beer doesn't make it.

Firstly thanks to the BM's for the all the comments and replies, though could have done with a few filled in questionaires and please fill it in if you have the time. The reason I designed the questionaire is to sense check some of my ideas about what consitutes a good bar and after all you guys should know what you like. I don't think the demographic of the punters really comes into it (red blooded males) seems to cover it.
I have an opportunity to become an active partner in a bar project and based the questionaire on some of the negtives that I see in many bars. Here's how I'd answer my own questionaire as a punter.
1. How important is décor and what aspects of décor impress you?
a. Seating
No fixed par stools, booths to offer some privacy
b. Lighting
Not too dark, warm, no oversaturated red lights.
c. Dance Floor
Don't need it
d. Toilet Facilities
Clean, Paper Towels, No attenedents offering hot towels.
2. How do you like your music
a. What type of music do you like?
Selection from 60's to date
b. What is your ideal music volume?
Able to hold a conversation
c. Do you like to request your favorite tunes?
Yes
3. Drinks
a. Do you drink imported beers (if yes please state brand) ?
No
b. Do you drink from bottle or a glass?
Both
c. Do you drink spirits (if yes please state brands) ?
Rarely
d. Do you drink wine in bars (red / white) ?

4. Facilities
a. Would you use a free internet facility in the bar?

I understand a bar can not be all things to all people however at this early conceptual stage a little information on what could work from the many ideas I have can only help. Keep an eye out for my next cry for help which will be a big'un relating to traing and staff management.
I'm off down to Cowboy now for some more field reseach.
