Took a closer look at the Drink Menu last night, usually just have a Gin Tonic or glass of wine. They have a selection of scotch: Famous Grouse, Chivas, Glenlivet, and Glenfiddich, with different vintages 12, 15, 18 years. Wish they had MacCallan.
Most expensive was the 21 year old Glenfiddich for 550 baht, probably just the 12 year old same-same.
Ordered the 12 year old Glenfiddich for 200. The waitress asked about mixer, I said no, and she served it with ice, not really what I wanted. For the second round, I explicitly asked without ice but got ice anyway 
They give you a good measure, better value than a 160 baht Gin Tonic, I think I'll be ordering scotch whiskey there from now on.
Lineup was disappointing last night, but business was good.

My problem with the whisky pours in thailand is that they are half of what I am used to seeing in my glass, and ordering doubles at 400 a pop just doesn't seem worth it. Thus, I only drink whisky when I buy the whole bottle.

Was at Soi Cowboy last night a Monday night. Even though it was a Monday the place was dead. The attitude of the girls in GG has also changed a lot over the years that I have been here. Most girls are holding out for big money since none of them would take the barfine. It might be the timing since it was really late around 12:30AM to 1 AM. Both of the girls my friends wanted to take said they were Coyote girls and do not go out. BKK just seems very different than it was used to be.

I recently stayed at the Pullman hotel (khon Kaens finest) the package for 2800 included a 500 baht voucher for eating or drinking and two hours free sing song session.s In private room.
Company from the lounge next door was easily arranged.
I think all woman in every professional line of woman individually decide on what they get up to.
I have had some nice times in That region too, but cant report that its special as such.
P4p with some office woman is sometimes depending on hotels possible.
Since they renamed it the Pullman hotel and did some work to upgrade it, more girls go there to drink at night and try freelancing.
When I was there anyhow it seemed like a good bunch.

I think the dancing girls are sometimes just that, but again if your lucky and willing to pay some end up doing it in your room.

All very good information but the original guy was talking about Soi Cowboy's coyotes and this is a Baccara thread! Wouldn't this stuff be better in a Khon Kaen thread (I was thinking, if I ever go, there, this information would be useful but it's in a Bangkok, Soi Cowboy, Baccara, thread!)

... agree, jibblies... maybe cut and paste these useful comments to the Khon Kaen thread, where they might benefit more than the 3-5 members on this thread who skim past them and dismiss them.
... I've found some great stuff about nightlife and nasty girls on this forum... but, curiously, never on the "Restaurants" thread.

hey all,
maybe this has been discussed but could somone explain to me the allure of baccara. been there afew times. it is setup nicely, and almost always packed. but I didn't think the girls were particularly hot. they are paler. the schoolgirls upstairs were cute but more homely cute. attitudes out of proportion to the girls looks.
maybe I just not hansum/rich man because all those japnese and farangs couldn't be wrong. or could they?
