Into Baccara this Thursday evening, 10 pm. Many guys and girls, as usual, and one of the few comfy chairs, right next to the lower stage, was unoccupied. Downstairs is still non-smoking, unlike upstairs, so I sat down, and reclined.
At first glances, it's an interesting view. For the price of a 150 baht beer, the most expensive on Soi Cowboy, one can look upward at the many lovelies dancing just above you on the lower stage; and look further up to the sometimes less-clothed young bodies dancing on the glass ceiling above you. This can be an enthralling sight, for a while.
But after a while, I noticed that I was not seeing much of most of the lovelies on the lower stage, though I was sitting up front and center. It's a big stage, and lots of girls were dancing, in two crews. I'm not sure how many were dancing because I could never see all of them. I could see 6 or 7 of them quite well, because they stayed in their position the whole time they were dancing. The other 20 or so dancers remained mostly unseen by me because they were on the other side of the stage, hidden by the dancers in front of me. The whole time they were on stage, presumably showing themselves to prospective customers in the audience, they never changed position, never moved around, frustrated customers like me, who wanted to be able to have a good look at all of them.
So I wrote a brief note, in English, about this problem. Then I folded the note and wrote in Thai ขอให้เจ่าของ = Please give to the owner.
OMG, when I handed my note to a waitress, along with my payment for the expensive beer, she looked shocked and troubled. Another waitress was summoned, so I had to confirm that yes, I hoped to convey my hopefully helpful suggestion to the bar owner, who of course was not here at the moment.
So perhaps, an informal poll; What do you think?:
Was my well-intentioned suggestion passed on to the owner for his consideration, as I requested, or was it tossed into the bin?

Let see, hum, a farang rely on some thai to pass on some request to their boss...
They cant read the paper (and will assume it is something harmfull to them), they of course dont care about you...so I say the paper was destroyed in a matter of seconds with everyone laughting at the stoopid farang thinking he can give order to THAI people.

But think also from the girls point of view.
They are spotted and if they are, they don't want to lose the prospective bar-finer.
Imagine the turmoil if they all kept milling around.
Some poor bugger or ten might get bar-fined the wrong girl.
My suggestion for Baccara is not to sit down on the ground floor level but to circulate until you find a girl you want to watch or oggle at. If there is a seat available, then sit. If not, don't block anyone's view by just standing there. And instead of pretending to be a lap-dancer in order to get a seat of sorts, hand the said lady a bit of money and indicate that you will be waiting for her upstairs.

Yes, I agree, if your goal is to look at all the girls, then better sit in a seat at the back, where you will be able to see more (but still not all) girls.
The seats next to the stage are mostly for people who want to "look up" under the skirts of the panty-less dancers above.

Was in Bacarra coupla nites ago. Went straight upstairs to leer at the naked ladies. Before I knew it I was flanked by 2 pint-sized gals who had no probs squeezing LDs out of this poor unresisting softie.
