Jeez...lets be honest....we've named approximately where they are...and one has been named outright.....it doesn't take much for any authority wanting to know to figure it out...or anyone desperate enough to find out to use thier loaf and go look.
After all they'll be getting monthly envelopes from the venue.

thanks for the completely wrong information. what you said is not true. I was in BKK 3 months ago and the grace was open everynight selling booze after 2am.
i wanted to see if that was still happening but no one seems inclined to give a straight answer. and the authorities probably know well where the after-hours places are already.
i don't know BKK well enough yet though to know where the vague descriptions people alluded to are. and obviously people here know a few places that are opened late.
i'm not the police or the army or a politician. and I doubt they have someone monitoring this forum for information. but if people don't want to post what they know perhaps someone could email me and let me know. i'd be very thankful.

The Grace is currently not selling alcohol after 2am.
I don't go there often, but I believe it's been this way for around two months. Certainly in early August there was no alcohol when I arrived at 2:30am...haven't been back since.

Just as an example.... Last week's 'closure' of the mentioned bar on Soi Cowboy at 03.00 AM was due to a customer (Farang) bringing in his friends... He forgot though that part of his friends were BKK police on a night out. Owner decided to close to avoid problems. Same person reappeared the next evening with same result. Do not think this gentelman is anymore welcome. Several operators of late night venues are a bit concerned about the info given on the net. But as we all know, Thai police being so pre occupied with other things, do not belief that they will be monitoring the net that detailed.
Lately Soi 19 is the place to be for real party after 03.30/04.00. Several times good fun. Even some of the regulars from Spasso and 87 are appearing here....

Guys the police don't need to monitor the net, they have the news services to do that for them. Let's not forget that it wasn't too long ago that THIS site was specifically mentioned, by name, in a news story and one of the brothers was quoted from one of his posts. Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý
They know who we are, we are on someones radar now and I'm sure they check back here from time to time because they can pick up some very useful info here, as well as on other sites. All it takes is one story in the news saying here is the location of the bars that are flaunting the 2 am closing rule in the police's faces and for one of the higher ups to read that story. Yes, the local cops know where these places are because they go there for their hand-outs, and everyone's happy as long as things are kept quiet. It's only when places become high profile that the message comes from higher up to do something about it.
Best to keep these things quiet in my opinion.
