To each their own.. hope you spread that attitude as that will keep the crowds down..
I have been there seven times now and enjoy it a lot..
As you no doubt have not been there (B900 to rich for your blood??), you would not know that it can be a lot of fun.. compare it to going to the other soi 33 bars where by the time you buy drinks, etc you are going to be out a few hundred baht minimum and you don't see any girls without clothing, you don't get to see them tie each other up and play with each other, etc..
As I say, different strokes for different folks..

Add "JoJo's" to the list... opened recently on the same back parking lot with The Office. The owner spent a lot of money setting the place up, formatted to do food and live blues... good infrastructure, but a bit short of life yet because it's not well known. The burger is decent (large) with great fries.

I was in the Office a few nights ago and there were far fewer girls than I remember but the atmosphere is still good. Training of the girls could be improved as well......

The salaries are not that great on Soi 33. I have a friend who works in The Office. I think she gets about 8K per month. Two days off per month.If she takes extra days then she has to pay her own barfine (1200Bt). She also gets fined up to 400 Bt for being late. She appears to be quite lazy so often ends up forking out of her own pocket. She tells me that she often has little or no wages to pick up at the end of the month.
This is offset by the fact that she is popular (I think) & may have 1 or 2 long term sources of regular income. I don't ask too many questions since you are unlikely to get a straight answer. She did say that she has earned up to 70k per month but I suspect that was a one off. 30-40k would not be beyond her means. Tips from her customers run around 4kBt LT & can go as high as 6kBt. I think The Office may be one of the busier bars in the area so God knows what the other girls in the less popular bars earn.

To add to DSBones' post regarding Soi 33 girls, I can say this. Do not simply assume their LT rates are all this high. If there is one you would like to have, I would first make sure that she will sleep with you, many of the Soi 33 girls do not.
Then tell her what you are prepared to pay and she can make the decision to go or not, the worst that can happen is that she will say 'no'. They know the barfine price raises the cost of the night for you, and many are not barfined often because of this cost.

I agree with CG. I think the rates I posted are high - they are what she told me. I pay her no more than I would an LT from Nana. If I pay her bar fine then that gets knocked off the tip. She makes it up indirectly in gifts & clothes etc, - softie that I am!

For the girl in question (4K baht LT) how would you rate her on the 1 to 10 scale - model quality? Just that I have been in the O many times, (not lately) and most girls I would average at 6-7, an occassional 8.

She is average looking 6-7 as you say and does not have the classic slim Thai figure. There are prettier girls in there but no stunners (8 max). She has a nice pair of breasts & knows how to use them to maximise interest.
I think she is very good at flirting with the customers & this gets their interest up after which she feels she can raise her prices a bit.
I think that most discerning guys would not accept the price. There are a helluva lot more girls in Bkk who are more beautiful than The Office girls.
