i was refering to soi 33 as one of the best sois of bangkok for me for various reasons and none of them is for sex. it is more for socializing, drinking and many more. if i want straight sex i would not go there as it would be to time consuming.
of course if i could have a shag after a nice night out on soi 33 with a lovely girl i would not decline, but i am not going to soi 33 with the attitude to find something to f_ck!

It must be all about sex - but then, sex can be anything from the timbre of a woman's voice to a bouncing-off-the-walls foursome.
Anyway, I think I 'm bit clearer now about the conventions obtaining on Soi 33. Seems to me like a respectable escort agency, where you pay openly for a young lady's company but have to play any further Ýambitions entirely by ear.
Getting a bit close to the real world isn't it? Frightening thought.

Of course it's still all about sex. If it weren't you would go to your local bar and hang out with an interesting, but decidedly ugly set of locals. You wouldn't be paying twice or three times the cost to have beautiful girls serve you drinks.
Arcadius, it does get a little close to the real world, but with one big difference. If you strike out, the backup plan of taking a cab to Soi Cowboy is always there. I think in some ways that must change the dynamics of regular relationships in Thailand (especially who holds the power) a great deal.

In the Soi 33 bars, paying the bar fine does not guarantee that one will mate. Usually the TG will make that clear before you leave the bar, unless you have negotiated otherwise.
One usually takes these lassies to dinner and perhaps a disco or night club.. After that, if the chemistry is right an invitaion to share a hotel room might ensue. But that also does not imply mating. I must admit though that it is difficult sometimes not to get friendly with one's sleeping partner in the middle of the night.
I have met a couple of really nice ladies a Office Bar.In both cases they ended up going abroad with their farang lovers
