Quim, I'll be visiting NYC next year, love to play pool and ping pong. Checked Amsterdam's web site; looks good but couldn't find anything about challenge tables. Can I go there alone and get a game?
As Jenny at the old Town Lodge hotel will vouch. I taught her trick shots after clearing the table ball after ball. In Australia I am banned from the pool comp at pub. This was a result of my brother and I in Philipines playing pool in the Manila comps and getting coached by pros. We used to also play pool about 6 hours a day between whoring in Thailand. I love pool but miss the Asian standards. In gullivers on Soi 5 Bangkok you at least met opponents who could tear you down now and again. Some black American from the Bronx who was able to sink all from a break. Or some Irish guy that was on their snooker team. I would love to see an annual pool comp by Bangkok Tonight where whoring and pool kept us all busy. It's very primitive in Australia and no one can play the game
