Yes, such wooden penis are called "Palat Kick" and considered as wealth-charm talisman.
Not so far from Sukhumvit there is even an Altar with hundreds of them offered to some tree spirit in the hope that it will help womens with fertility
There is also another talisman that is similar and often seen used for the same purpose, its called a "Sak" and has the shape of a cooking tool (still a phallic shape anyway)

Visited AW for the first time in years last week.
I was not particularly impressed with the talent, but there was one light complexioned lady wooing customers who did NOT have dancing duty. She said she was a hostess. She was all smiles and very sexy. But I suspected she was a lady boy.
If anyone knows who I am talking about, I'd like to know if she is. I was certanly tempted to ST her but reluctant to find I had "crossed over". I may go back a do her anyway but I would appreciate any information beforehand.

Popped in here at 8:30pm last Thursday, I guess it was simply far too early because there were more mamasans than BG's and absolutely ZERO customers, Dave was also nowhere to be seen. The 4 or 5 dancers were pretty crap, performing the crappy BK shuffle normally unheard of in here, certainly not worth the beer price and to top it off no less than 3 mamasans pestered our group for a drink.
The only positive I find with Nana these days is they allow smoking in the bars, unfortunately all the fun, talent and atmosphere is in Cowboy where they do not allow smoking.

The quality and quantity of the girls has improved now that the owner has returned from vacation.

Wow, I really miss AW! My last visit to BKK was in May 2008, to have $10,000 worth of dental work done. Hey, it was going to cost $30,000 in the US. Nevertheless. money did become tight.
I remember the routine where 2 girls move the bamboo poles while 2 others step between them. They go fast, and it has to be dangerous, because some of those girls are downing 3-4 shots per hour.
I can only hope that some of the same beauties are still there. I'm very glad to hear that there is new management!
