Oz, the issues mentioned about foreigners in LOS and Singapore are like chalk and cheese. And I didnt quite understand why angmos in Singapore were brought up in the first place since it was hardly relevant to the topic.
I believe this is neither the thread nor the forum to discuss why locals in Sin are disgruntled with angmos 'taking their jobs'.
Perhaps we should leave it at that and concentrate on the pussy.
We're sure to find more room for agreement there.

This is one of the things that boggles me about LOS. How seemingly sensible farangs, many who have good jobs and responsible otherwise, can lose their minds while here. It makes me wonder, which person are they really? Are they a buffoon who plays the part of responsible citizen at home? or are they a responsible citizen at home who plays the part of a buffoon?
I really have never understood it, as I am quite the same person all the time. The activities engaged in might differ by location, but the personality and behavior towards ithers remains constant.

Chompoo - instead of whining about what you call misinformation, why not do a few minutes research, and state what you have found to be the ACTUAL facts of the age of consent in Thailand.
Go to hell. I have done the research many times and presented the results in multiple threads, which noone has yet found any evidence to contradict.
In your zeal to provoke, you attack someone for "passing on information", and claim that it is dangerous. ÝHow is OVER estimating the age of consent dangerous? ÝIf anything, it provides a safety margin of two years, assuming what you imply (which is in itself, ACTUALLY dangerous) is true.
Or how about we just pass on the correct information and let everyone decide for themselves what the "safety margin" should be? Your patronizing attitudes prevent people from make intelligent decisions on their own. And on the contrary, when the rules are fuzzy people are much more likely to break them. Not to mention that you are reducing people's choices for sanuk (and damaging the income of the 18 and 19 yo bargrils) by scaring guys away from them.
To protect others how about we all agree:
1) the age of consent in Thailand is 25, (we should therefore not discuss any girls under that age on the forum)
2) that getting oral sex from a bargirl will give you AIDS
3) that 90% of all bargirls have HIV
4) all bargirls will try to rip you off, don't trust anyone
...
Gee, we'd all be a lot safer then wouldn't we?

As for me 'growing up', I had rather hoped you had used your time away meditating, learning Thai, practicing Muay Thai, and getting a personality transplant, instead of wearing out your welcome at whatever board gave you refuge in the interim.

Yet your petty animosity and lack of self-control caused you to lash out in a ridiculous way against a very innocuous post of mine. I can see that you (and apparently the rest of the board that still embraces you) has yet to value truth and intelligent debate.
