And I can't say this enough. If you want to have sex with the girls from Soi33, make it clear that this is what you intend before you pay the barfine. Some of them do not have sex with customers who barfine them. Most do, but be clear on your arrangement.

I hope it is not bad form to drag an old topic back up to the top of this forum. But, after reading many of the posts on this subject, I am still a bit confused. So maybe someone can help me out with the Soi 33 Painter's Bar scene.
I walked up to soi 33 with a friend last year. I had heard it was a bit pricey, so we just went to give it a look. We were early. Only a couple of bars were open. We went into one on a side street to the right. (I don't remember the name.) There were some pretty good looking TGs in the bar. I just wanted a beer. My friend immediately was smitten by this little cutie who probably was "new" as she couldn't speak a word of English. There were 15 girls in the bar and we were the only customers for the hour that we were there.
My friend really wanted to take this girl back to his room and "f**K her brains out". (His words, not mine.) So I asked the Mamasan (she was also young and cute) how much for the barfine. I think she told me it was 1500B. "WHAT? NO WAY." My friend responded.
It was a nice bar and the girls were very friendly and nice, but mamasan wouldn't budge on the barfine price which was to me and my friend tantamount to highway robbery. I had fun trying to negotiate a lower barfine price, but it just wasn't going to happen. The mamasan and other girls had lots of laughs and I bought a few LDs in the process. In the end we left without my friend's girl. He wasn't very happy. Especially as I already had barfined a girl, Som, from Tinas bar on the side Soi opposite from Washington Square. She was amazing in everyway, a girl we nicknamed stunner 2. Tina's is a strange bar where upon entering it you are literally rushed and crushed by 7 to 10 girls vying for lady drinks. Anyway, I digress.
Now that my first foray up to Soi 33. So I did not know anything about anything regarding how things worked there.
The questions I have are based on the previous posts in this thread.
If my friend had barfined this girl and taken her back to his room, would he have not been able to "F**k her brains out"? (He would have killed me if that had been the case!!!  )
I get the impression that many of these girls will accept barfine and then just want to hold your hand and go to dinner with you. I assume that I could verify what action I can expect from one of these girls if I negotiate up front with her. Does the mamasan need to be brought in to the negotiations to verify the expected activities? I've done that before many times (especially with new arrivals who have limited English skills), so it's not a big deal for me.
How much do these girls expect for a tip for fun back in the room? Should that be negotiated in the bar also?
Finally, assuming that the tip isn't outrageous for Soi 33 girls, which of the bars would you suggest?
I've read about the domination bar. Not interested, thank you very much!

I always discuss price and services required before I pay bar. Saves a lot of drama later.
I've never been to soi 33 as the prices are way above my price point. I'm a 500 ST & 1K LT kind of cheap Charley. Biergarden is more my style as I'd choke on a 1500 baht barfine plus the cost of pussy. I'm dieing at that price level. : ( : (

I ended up in Soi 333 on my first EVER trip to LOS.the lady who was supposed to meet me at the air-port I could not find but I knew the hotel she had booked for me,,,but she was not there so I figured GO out for some fun
I was trying to find a place that an English guy on the flight over had drawn a map too and invited me to meet up.
AHH after some considerable time in a taxi I saw a place with about 10 ladies in beautiful pink dresses standing out the front,, I said no worry I out here ( I had zero Thai language at this time.
I went into the bar and said Scotch and coke, the bar was nearly empty except for me.The girls where EXTREMELY attentive and fun, YES I bought ladies drinks,,,,, one gal was even asking me if I like to do her in the ass,,, LOL was done in a joking way but she definately meant business. Anyway after about 12 Scotches I decided I like the one name?? Na She was very attractive and friendly,, I asked you come with me,, she said ok after bar close how much money was my reply,, she said 2,500 BHT (had to do a quick calculation and said OK ). At about 2am she said ok we go now,, she came to my hotel by Taxi ( no bar-fine) and we spent the night together,, was OK say a 5 on 1-10 scale in performance but I had no Thai experience to compair it against. She had just left when I heard a knock on the door,, AHH maybe she forgot something,, I open the door and there is the gal that was suppose to meet me at the air-port,, AHHH lucky.

Nuevo1, welcome to the world of Soi 33! Girls there come in all sizes and flavors. Somes speak good English, some speak no English, some have been to university, some left school at age 12 to work on the rice farm. You get the picture.
Three of my regulars were from Soi 33 (No English, Soi33CanDo and Mist), and I've screwed a bunch of others from there as well.

"F**k her brains out"? Maybe, maybe not. Probably yes. He should verify this directly with the girl BEFORE he pays a barfine. Most will have sex with a customer, some will not.

Yes, in general, it should be discussed in the bar (between the customer and the girl only, do not involve other girls or mamasan in this discussion). I have heard of people paying LT anywhere from 1,500 baht to 4,000 baht. Keep in mind that, of the 1500 baht barfine, the girl is probably getting 400-500 baht. Tell her what you can pay ans ask her if it OK.
Also, you can avoid the barfine by meeting them after the bar closes (thank you for 1am closing!). This is best arranged with a girl you have spent some time with in the bar.

Depends on what you want. Some people like certain types of places. Some suggestions. Elegant: Monet or Renior (watch for ladydrink demands in these two places). Plentiful girls: The Office. Fun girls: Big shots and Lookie Lookie. Try a bunch of them during the later hours of Happy Hour (7:00pm-9:00pm) when there are lots of girls there. I am rarely on Soi33 after 9:00pm.

Thank you for the very lucid and concise reponse. You covered everything I wanted to know about Soi 33. AND you even tossed out some bar venues worth visiting. WOW! I will look into all of your suggestions.
With the exception of the steep barfine, everything else sounds to be "Same Same" for dealings with the Soi 33 girls. Appears that it is just an an additional 900 Baht or about $20 vs. the GoGos to barfine the girls and all else is negotiable. I will be on vacation, so the extra $s isn't a problem for me for the right girl.
Waiting until 1 AM to meet up with a BG of my choice is an option I will consider, but usually I like to take a girl out earlier so we can have some fun and get to know each other. Pool, dinner, Karioke bar, whatever. If the girls feel it's not all about shagging, they can be more than fun both in and out of the room.

I was lucky enough to go to the Ava bar which I believe is in Soi 33. The bar fine is expensive 1,500 baht. However I felt the girls behind the bar in particular showed character and the need to be seduced into going with a customer. It was definately more fun than the usual OTT approaches from many bar girls. Does anyone else have knowlege of the Ava bar?

AVA bar is on Soi 11, but it's not unlike Soi 33 bars in that it's a hostess bar with similar bar fines. I had a strange experience with one of the girls there.
I barfined a couple of them and took them to Q Bar. The one that I eventually took home did so on the condition that I pay her 4K, and I agreed. When we got back to the room, she wouldn't take her clothes off. Got her down to her bra and panties, but there was such great shame that I finally gave up and gave her the boot.
If the girl doesn't want to f***, that's up to her, but what was the 4K all about??? To 'sleep' with her, I guess.

I agree with CG's suggestion that sex is not implicit with the barfine with some Soi 33 girls. But if you establish a rapport with the girl you take, at any bar, you pretty much know what you're getting. Something I failed to do in the above case. She just looked good, so I asked her out.
