Sorry to be a bit off-tangent. I was wondering, if an establishment that you are willing to trust, were to 'certify' that the girls are tested every week, how much premium would guys be willing to pay for such an assurance. My point is that assuming Bht 1500 per week for the test, it would translate into a cost of not more that Bht 250 per day, around Bht 75-100 per 2-hour session, which isn't much. Yet, no MP or Bar is using this as a USP to get customers. I wonder why.

Actually I owe you a million thanks because yesterday after reading your previous post and posting my reply, I went off to the website you recommended -- Ýaidscentral.com -- to check it out. I must say after going through the site that I was really amazed at the high level of ignorance and misconception I realised I was under despite being "so careful" about this subject. I am sure a lot of us go through this "directly affected" learning process at some time or the other.
Early on, of course, I felt more confused but after going thro the questions posted by many people, and the patient replies, some clearer ideas have crystallised into my mind.
One, of course, is that a man can get an infection only if there was sharing of body fluids, and then too largely through an opening into his bloodstream. That means, of course, cuts, abrasions, injections, etc. So, a brief peripheral insertion not lasting more than a few seconds should be nothing to get too alarmed about, if there were no abrasions or if the girl was not lubricating or bleeding. I know I should simmer down with that, but ..... that niggling worry persists and I guess this experience of worrying should serve as a good kick in the pants for this carelessness on my part. Ý

Yes, you are dead right on that bit. Stupid indeed. But, this also serves as a rude awakening Ýto me -- and I hope to other bros here -- because one routine encounter which I approached rather casually like at all times -- with the basic self-confidence that I was NOT going to get into anything too adventurous -- Ýsuddenly went rather out of control and, before I knew it , before I could even FEEL it, ÝI had been had !! I agree we all have to keep our defences up in dangerous situations, as you point out, Ýbut the rude awakening to me is that I never imagined I was going to get that far, nor intended to. ME ? Nah. Stupid, see?
That was the knee-jerk reaction to my stupidity therefore that made me say that a condom should be treated as a part of our regular dress to be worn unfailingly if we intend to vist these places of pleasure. Because you never know when the situation could get out of hand. Of course, as I read later on the website, any cuts in your fingers or nails, and other entry points into the bloodstream at other innocuous parts of the body are far more dangerous, and a condom only protects you down there. Ý
Given this one jolt that I have had -- okay, I may be overreacting -- ÝI find it quite remarkable that so many guys seem to fearlessly indulge in all kinds of unprotected play at these bars. And boast about it on this forum as well. Good luck to all of them. But I wish guys and girls would see that a "dangerous situation" could arise without your knowing it and already overtake you before you hold back.

Simon, I think many bars and MPs already use this as a tool. They test the girls "regularly" and all the girls have their little health booklets. One existing problem is that even if you trust the establishment, you also have to trust the girls and the company that does the tests. I think you already knews this, but I wanted to make sure everyone is starting on the same page.
As it exists now I think there is, because of this regularly testing (or at least the attempt), less chance of girls having various diseases at clubs that require this. It's not a certainty, but it does, IMO, better your odds a bit. So this, to me, somewhat justifies the premium over freelancers (there are other considerations as well).
Now, what if one of those gogos or MPs wanted to really commit to verifying the health of their girls, by using specific clinics or hospitals that were difficult (it is never impossible) to bribe. They should make that known (perhaps with a gigantic ISO-6969 sticker on the bar) then that would draw a good number of customers. Assuming the place was as good as others, I would certainly go there. And there are a large number of visitors to Thailand who would indulge, but they are too paranoid.
(Now, of course, even if the girl is tested every week that is not a guarantee. But it greatly increases the odds and also keeps the girls from doing anything too risky.)
