On my last trip I stopped in at the Bus Stop one afternoon on one of my frequent trips to the Brunswick. This was based on recommendations from another board.
The one or two girls standing outside were cute and I liked the uniforms, however, after entering I was handed off to a less appealing girl who led me to a seat at the "bar." I wasn't interested in this girl and she soon left.
Now the food was okay and the beer was of the normal sort, however there were only a few girls (6 maybe) who looked to be working in the bar and they were either busy or for some reason not interested in making eye contact and coming over to talk with me. (And they weren't greater than a 6 on my scale, so I didn't go out of my way for them.)
Is it worth giving a second shot to this place?
On this trip I'm planning on trying out a new policy for places with attractive eye candy at the door. I will only enter the bar if the door girl sits and has a drink with me. I expect some, if not most, will be unable or unwilling to relinquish their posts, but it will be an entertaining game at least.

The Bus Stop is a favorite place of mine, really like their little ham and cheese with sprouts sandwich (usually order two 'cause the thing is pretty small). I have never ST'd anyone from there, and your observations are about what I have experienced. You will find the number of ladies there varies considerably, with more filtering in towards the late afternoon/evening.
I view it a watering hole where I can chat with some of the ladies (whom I've gotten to know). An oasis before I head out to "the mean streets of BKK" -- ha! Since I take my TGF there too, it would be a fatal mistake to do more than this anyway. Besides, to quote MrJoe, I am "semi-retired," given my situation with my TGF.

Forgot to add, have never seen the cuties at the front gate leave their posts. They are dressed in the same pretty uniform the other "worker bees" wear inside. Never seen one of them ST'd, so it would be an interesting challenge. Never been there at closing time, maybe that's the opportune moment?

I also used to always see those girls in their pretty uniforms and finally went in one day. ÝThis was during the Sydney Olympics, so I went in and had a beer. ÝWas also chagrined to see that the girls inside were a far drop in quality from the greeters. ÝSo I had my beer and tried to watch the Olympics, but the girls kept getting in my line of sight, trying to catch my attention. ÝI left after the first beer and never went back.

I must confess I've failed in my approach at BUS STOP.
The "hello ladies" in the front door are real nice. Those are called "Number One" and "Number Two" by the regular staff.
I invited them some drinks several times and gave them a try for around a month. The food was nice but I wanted more than 15 minutes of their company at my table....I got tired and a bit dissapointed cos "Number ONE" is a real 8. She use to leave the Bar around 23:30 hrs together with her sister. her house was around Ekkamai....if I am not mistaken.
I've never come back since then....

Of course, you may be a bit older than 19 and so perhaps less susceptible. ð ð ð ð ð ð ð
In fact, I was amazed when I got the lady in question to go inside with me but I have succeeded a few times since, with other greeters.

Looks like I'll have to come up with a new plan, if that's what can happen. 
Counter-intuitively, all the negative comments make me more eager to go back to the Bus Stop to try my luck.

I went to Bus Stop to watch the Australian Rules Grand Final (with brother FuturePark and his charming wife) and it was a very pleasant place with many (in my opinion) attractive young ladies.
I decided to go there yesterday (had 90 minutes to kill) and was greeted at the door by one of the pretty uniformed girls and I sat at the bar and another "civillian" girl came up to me and asked me what I wanted to drink. I ordered a beer and she promptly walked away.
There were at one time 7 guys in there and 31 women (I counted them) and I sat for the whole time by myself! Actually, the cashier sat next to me during her break and I was tempted to strike up a conversation with her but by that stage I couldn't be f_cked.
What's the deal with this place? It appears to me that the ladies there (many eminently rootable) just aren't interested.

Over the years I've been to Bus Stop a number of times.
It's a place where you can have a quiet drink, meal and watch TV.
I never had the impression that this was the place to go if you're looking for good company. From my observation not too many girls speak English very well (might explain why they don't bother you). It seems that 'first-time' BG's float to bars (beer bars) like the Bus Stop.
However, because of my Thai ability, I was able to have a good time with one or more girls without any expense at all ...

I think at Bus Stop that they are told if they want to be there, they must not hassle the customers.
The 'civilians' are all freelancers as I get it.
But what's up with the serving girls?...unbelieveable. I've never placed an order with one, the freelnacers seem to ask if you want a beer, order food. The serving girls just sit behind the bar being unpleasant, chatting and generally find ing it difficult to stir for anything.
So is this just free labour for the priviledge of being there, or am I wrong about them being freelancers.
A mate of mine has a long term girlfriend whom he met ther...delightful girl...really.
