I am of Asian descent and when I visited this club I was barred from entry. I was told by the welcome girls that this was for members only. I asked to see the Manager and was told that he was not available. I asked to sign up for membership and was told that the membership was now closed. But, they openly tried to drag guys of European descent from the street. I did ask one of them if he was a member, and he said that he never heard of such thing there. Left as I did not want to create any trouble.
I also noticed similar conduct in some of the bars at Nana

This happened when I went ther during Feb 03 RT. I had missed the crew gathering at Landmark and as advised by Pinga met up with rest of the members whil they were at Long Gun.
The welcome girls at entrance told me that entry is for memebers only. I told them that rest of my friends are already inside and then they let me in.
(It was after that I called up Pinga on his mobile).
Any way who cares? there are enough places in BKK which welcome every one irrespective of their colour/nationality/race

it pays to learn to speak some thai, especially the foul languages, so u can use it in them on at such situations!! 
on a serious note, i would have been very pissed!! guess i would have reacted by Bar Fining those gals at the entrance, bring them back and throw them out naked of my hotel room in the middle of the nite!! and their clothes will be thrown out too, thats out of the window!!

Take no offence, bro, hard as that is. Let the discriminating bar or club to itself and move on. There are countless numbers everywhere that are more homely and warm. Go in, sip a drink, soak in the atmosphere and before long you will be grateful that the discriminating other bar inadvertently directed you here. Also, look at the brighter side. It is better to be told you are unwelcome at the entrance than be allowed in, made to pay for a drink and then find you are neglected. My experience !!

Racial discrimination sucks, and no doubt Cane found this experience very galling. Who wouldn't?
Even so, it's a fact of life in the Thai P4P scene and we ALL have to put up with it in one shape or form. Farang are not welcome in the Japanese bars, and often have to stomach discriminatory pricing in MPs and elsewhere. Of course, the Japanese also suffer discriminatory pricing (and how!) just about everywhere. There are many bars aimed at foreigners where Thai men are not welcome as customers, and they're in their own country.
No point taking things out on the hello girls - they'll just be obeying orders from management.
In the unlikely event he still wants to, Cane could almost certainly get into LG if accompanied by a farang. By the same token, farang (in fact, probably anyone) can get into most Japanese bars if accompanied by a Jap. On the whole, though, Kaymanx is quite right - why go where you're not really wanted?
It might be helpful if we could put together a list of bars in the farang-oriented venues which do discriminate against South Asians and/or blacks. Being turned away at the door must put a real downer on anyone's night, and at least this should be avoidable.

I was in the Long Gun 10 days ago and can recall seeing Asians there, but they looked Japanese.
To be turned away solely on account of race is degrading. ÝRemember Martin Luther King? ÝOrganize a sit-in. ÝI'd be glad to participate if I was still in BKK, although I'm not asian.
