went to Monet one day, the girls seemed friendly and bought several of them lady drinks, then two of them said they were hungry and ordered food for them from nearby restaurant and myself also. A third girl also joined to eat with us. Mind you the girls ordered the food and I paid the bill. After we finished the meal suddenly another girls said the while ordering food from outside I had to pay 30% surcharge. I was dumfounded, & mentioned that the girls ordered the food, since it was only 150 bhat I paid up, cause did not want a scene. Also fond out that the girls only go out for dining and dancing and no st or lt, and the barfine was 1560 bhat (weird figure). One of the girls did mention a rate of 3K bhat for st, & when I said it was too high for st, she stuck to the story of only dining and dancing and no st or lt.
Christie, the mamasan was tall , good looking and aggressive, bought her a drink, she was an excellent pool player. Tried to hoist some girls on me that were shy and did not speak good English. Bought some drinks for other ladies, the barfine was 1500 bhat, with the same story only go out for dining and dancing. I did no mind taking the girls out for dinner from these bars, but heck I was not going to pay 1500 bhat inorder to feed them in a fancy place.
Anybody has any experience in these place, what are the true st & lt rate etc..

There is a whole soi 33 thread that goes into this in great detail.
I like soi 33 for eye candy and conversation, Monet or Renoir...Christies is a dump I think.....As a result I've never experienced the bullshit that undoubtedly is there.
Been overcharged in Monet last trip......probably ended my association there as well.

i love soi 33!
but none of the afore mentioned places. the beauty of this soi is in a relaxed conversation and when you fancy a girl you better get her phone number and make private arrangements. even when a girl really likes you and wants to stay with, you she will be pressured by the others to get the bar paid for her so not worth the deal.
this soi is good for meeting some better educated girls and making arrangements later!

pitty as these girls in wall street are usually very playful and fun. but then again as you said it was early so may be they didn't reached their full mode temperature yet or not enough tequilas on that day!
give it another try at one of the next days! also check out santana to the right of wall street, live dj and usually hell lot of party after 22:00!

Been at Christies, Monet and Renoir but mainly during happy hours. Found that 1.5K bf policy damn weird and just had a great chat and a private arrangement with one girl from Christies long ago.

on the other hand some of the nice girls are only showing up after 21:00, as they do not want to hang around and waste their time with the 'happy hour' guys!
unfortunately we haven't met yet, but if you would have you would know that i do tend to keep a bottle in nearly every place i am going, so the costs of drinks will be reduced dramatically and the bottle prices are the same anyway irrespective of 'happy hour' or not!

I also made side arrangement at Christies!! ha ha ha!! But the bad part was that I was staying at the Lotus Hotel next door and this made it very easy for the tg's to knock on the door at ANY time!! Good thing I had two rooms!! ha ha ha!!
So, I'd suggest any one staying at the Lotus Novotel be carefull on who you pick up at the clubs on that street. That might just show up at your door unannounced!! ha ha ha!

I remember I went to her place at Hi Tech Tower, I reckon....somewhere close to Rama 9....damn far and a bit scared that time. But the bang made the difference. However, I must confess that the approach was not cheap. Some bang during her day off, dinner in Ratchadapisek, dancing at Hollywood and bang again at her place....was not cheap man....not cheap....
