I was wondering whether the weekly Sunday pool tournaments still on? I joined one a few months ago on Soi 4 at a place with 4 tables, Probably Paradise Disco, I could be wrong. I love pool and would like to play with frens from here when I visit next month. Any tips and advise will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are a couple of threads which address this in the Bars Forum. Check over there. It also helps to say where you are located or will be. FWIW my favorite place for a game in BKK is Brunswick, but there are others.

I will be coming into LOS late 9 Oct and will be putting up at Woraburi Hotel. After check in, I will run over to Nana to play pool on the 1st floor and taste the marvelous burger there. Btw, is the pool hall besides Paradise Disco still operating? Thanks seubeu for prompt reply.

seubeu, I found yr tread re pool bars in LOS. Most informative and detailed. Hope to meet up with you when i come over and we can shoot a few games together. Last time I encountered the local pool players in the weekly comp, they were too strong for any of us. I heard they been winning every week. Was hoping to get a crack at them without having to wager a sum with them, lol.

Unfortunately I'm not living there anymore, but if our paths should cross I'm more than happy to have a friendly game with you. If you go to Flyers you can get decent but not overwhelming competition. The earlier in the evening usually the more open the tables, so if you lose you just pony up your 20 baht and go back for more. Lots of nice ladies to play with there as well. It's too bad the manager was a bit of a sad sack last I was there; the original manager was much more congenial and apt to buy you a drink once he'd seen you around a bit.

can you give location of flyers? will check out brunswick when I arrive next week. I also like the game, was shooting at woodstock, don't get me wrong like the place just not a lot of action there.

It is now called Megabreak Lounge. This is a pool lounge, not much space for seating or socializing. There are 12 tables (8 x 9 ft and 4 x 8 ft). Sardo racks (for each table) are used to rack up the balls.
