I’m looking for “THE” bar (ideally in the Sukhumvit area) that has the best atmosphere and most friendly attitude – a place which has fun, upbeat ambience where punters feel like spending hours drinking, socialising (both with staff & customers alike) and playing with girls. A bar that one can definitely make his regular hang out – it’ll obviously enormously help if the girls are good looking and give you a good time back in your hotel room.
The single thing that make me want to come back to any establishment (be it a go-go bar, a disco or a restaurant) is the ambience – that something, which is hard to define in writing, that hangs in the air while you’re there, a place in which you feel immediately comfortable that gives you a buzz – while you’re there, time flies by………………………
Your choice and why it makes you feel wanting to come back again and again.

Thats a difficult one, since everybody has different tastes. So below are my favourites.
Go-Go Bars (NEP)
Angel Witch - Has the most pretty girls, and just sitting there looking at them makes the hours and beers fly away like farts in the wind.
Go-Go Bars (Cowboy)
Midnight - INHO, still the most laid back bar on the strip. Nice girls, friendly staff, a little bit of sleaze, but that appeals to me. Besides they have nice private rooms upstairs
Artist Bars Soi 33
Only one place I recommend here is Big Shots, since it has some really good looking girls, cheap beer, and a hassle free environment.

The one, the only. Some people swear by it, some people avoid it like the plaque. I enjoy it, since it has some decent food, Bavarian Polka Music (hehe), and a nice selection of ladies of which you might find a rough gem sometimes.

I just don't believe there's any such thing as the perfect bar.
Quite apart from your basic taste, it often depends on what kind of mood you're in that particular night, what kind of mood the girls are in, what sort of customers are in the bar at the same time. Best to think of these places as party venues - things either come together or they don't.
Sometimes you go to a bar where you're confident of having a good time, and for some reason or other it just doesn't happen. Other times, you check out a place you haven't been to for months, never particularly liked and... wow!
You cannot PLAN a good night out in Bangkok, it's all too unpredicable. So just go with the flow, keep moving and try not to get too drunk along the way. When you get to where you want to be, you'll know it right enough.

as usual arcadius has summed it up well!
also not a perfect place for me! considering the fact that most bars change so quickly these days, i usually tend to go with the flow and the mood of the day! some days my favourite places suck others they are rocking!
as always in LOS never make plans and let yourself flow in the vibes of the day!!!

My vote would be "Morning-Night" bar, Sukhumvit soi 4, LHS (same side as Nana Plaza, but before the entrance)
Great place any time of the day or night - great girls, great music, pool tables, etc.
This was my regular hang-out for a long time, & will be again as soon as I get back to BKK....
