In my years of visiting bars, I have NEVER gotten a free drink from a Thai mamasan, waitress or BG. Now, I have gotten plenty of free drinks from farang bar owners, and even during July's RT at afterskool, the bar owner gave me and my two BG a free round after he seen how many drinks I was buying, but never a free one from any Thai employee.
I bring this up as mentioned by BigBadjon in the Cascade thread...
Went to Cascade on Sat. with the TG and had a couple of drinks each waiting for the show - only saw a rather pathetic single girl doing the usual balloon thing. When we came to leave the bill arrived with 5 drinks on it. I pointed to the four glasses on the counter and said a mistake had be made. This was followed by the most amazing charade with 5 serving girls arguing amongst themselves that this cannot be and the cashier refusing to accept the bill back from the girls to amend it. I am not really fussed about the cost of one drink but in this case I am certain how many drinks we had and seemed unable to get any action despite one helpful door boy trying to sort it out. The whole thing took at least 15 min to resolve and has left me in no doubt that Cascade is not on my list of places to visit again. Beware!
The above is just bad business, but seems to be the norm. Any bros gotten a free drink?
IMHO I think it easy to get a free f_ck from a BG rather than a free drink

I have got free rounds - in a bed and in a bar.
In Pattaya actually in two bars I get free beers.
In bar one , it is a beer bar, the bartender puts some "0n the house".
Bar two is a go-go and the bartender/bouncer of the bar has supplied several per trip.

Well I could be wrong but I would think that any employee of the bar would have to pay for the drink out of their own pocket so unless it's someone that knows and likes you already then I wouldn't think there'd be much chance of that happening. Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý Ý
The only ones authorized to buy a customer a drink on the bar would be, as you already said, the owner, manager, the bartender like brother JR said, and in most cases I guess the mamasan but she'll probably only buy you a drink if she's trying to get you to BF one of her ladies. Peace

To clarify, I am specifically referring to mamasan's. I have been quite friendly with a few of them over the years even as they change bar to bar and I have bought them many drinks, but none in return. Yes, I do not expect any from the servers and BG's as they would have to pay for them. Based upon my experience I just say no to any drinks for the mamasan's and save them for the BG's
I have gotten dinner paid and a few free f_cks from BGs.
I have only been to Pattaya twice, but from reading reports, I begining to think that they have a better customer service attitude cthere compared to BKK

I've gotton a few over the years. Thai women bar owner in Phuket bought me a few. With her I am trying to help her son collect social security now that his dad died.
Mamasan's at the FLB in Pattaya have bought me a few
beers. I use this bar as my local when I'm in Pattaya.

Damn, all those mamasans in Angel Witch are always trying to leach a drink from me all the time.
The managers and owner of Bamboo Bar have given me free drinks on many occasions. I even got a bottle of Black label for my birthday.

The Thai owner / manager of Long Gun can be very generous with the drinks.
There used to be a Thai manager at Goldfingers years ago who would get me shit faced for an initial outlay of a drink for me and a drink for him. He would send trays of shooters to groups of guys to keep them there, sometimes as often as one in 3 drinks.

4 of my regular bars in Patong would give me drinks.
the famous Odd in Kangaroo Bar spent a fortune during last years World Cup.
after each goal in a game,he would wring the bell and there were normally 8-10 guys sitting around.
and my good friend in Pink Panther was a darling on my B/day.
bought provided 2 rounds of drinks for myself and 7 guests on the house.
and bought me a present,nice lady.
and yes,free sex as well.

Mamasan at Long Gun gave me a few free drinks.
I used to go there early when there were no customers,
give a BG 500 baht to buy some BBQ meat. That was enough to feed a few of the hungry girls. Mamasan would come over and sit with me and every a couple of days she would get me a free drink.
