When I am in bangkok my haunts are bars and gogos up to suk soi 22 (queens park / washington square)
depending on my mood and intentions
i.e hunting pussy (hitting the go gos)
or getting tottaly wasted on booze (hitting the beer bars etc)
i usually start at soi 0 and work my way up to soi 22 or vice versa (this includes soi cowboy)
so brothers apart from the painters bars is there any worthwhile places further up past soi 22 worth a visit ?
i.e bars gogos etc

Just read of an interesting place in "nightclubs and discos"!
.....Counter 39, which is located in a sub-soi just before Soi 39. It is on the 3rd level above a Thai restaurant, Baan Mookda.... - courtesy of BK.
I am going to check it out next month!

I have a business associate who owns a small pub called "Moonshine" in the Soi 22 group. He has trained the staff to cook excellent Mexican food and has a outdoor barbaque for cooking one of the best burgers in BKK.
I would recommend going there for the food only, place is not that good for entertainment value, but it is excellent in the food department.
