Dear members,
I would like to have some opinions on gogo bars in Nana Plaza vs gog bars in Patpong.
I have heard many concerns/cautions on the gogo bars in Patpong (incorrect billings, ripped off..)
and some says no reason to go to patpong anymore, since the quality of girls are at least equally good at Nana Plaza.
Due to my ignorance of Bankok, I need friendly advise on the above two locations.
Does really quality of girls in NaNa are equally good as the one in Patpong?
Do you guys also prefer Nana over Patpong?

SC, go to Patpong if you want to. I think you do need to watch your bill closer, advise paying for each round. As for the girls, I think Nana has a very good selection, as good as the Pong, and less expensive. I also like Cowboy Street, Long Gun itself is worth a trip, best place in all Bangkok for my $.
I know cmore was trying to help with his mentioned thread. The problem with it, though, is the same problem that so many threads on the forum have, namely, after a few posts they go off topic. This specific thread quickly turned into a hamburger discussion.

we went there after the last RT (somebody had to meet someone somewhere) and every single bar - lets get this perfectly clear - every single bar - tried to rip us off.
they have no shame and just don't care

I second that. trying to overcharge 10 drinks (or was it 12??) and we are no greenhorns either, speak some thai. and truly the best looking girls were the blokes.

Well, I think you guys are being too harsh.
God knows, Patpong has its faults - we've all been there with the bill-padding and arch-commercial ST artists. But inadequate-looking merchandise!? I'd say that at some of the bars (especially the Kings' flagships), the girls are right up there with AW and R2, even if they are just as snooty. Admittedly, the LBs at KCorner provide them with some pretty stiff competition.
I rather like the Corner - good party atmosphere and a fun place to take newbies to hone their (and your) katoey-spotting skills. Some of the smaller and/or less popular bars really aren't that bad either, and offer some good pickings among the BGs if you take your time. Certainly not impossible to find the GFE here.
Maybe I'm biased, as my No 1 BG is a Patponger. A cuter and more adorable little sweetheart has never existed in human history. Of course, as a matter of principle her bar still tries to rip me off at every conceivable opportunity, but at least they make a joke of it now. Ý
