I've spent a lot of time at Nana and PP and had a good time, but from the bars I stopped off at in Soi Cowboy, it seems kind of lame and pricy. The girls were so aggressive to get me in the bar (in a good way), but once in there nothing seemed to be happening but a few dancers and noisy Germans on tthe table next to me. Is there anything worthwhile here?

I personally started to prefer Soi Cowboy over Patpong and NEP, my favourite bars include Suzy Wong and Long Gun.

Definately Long Gun. Think it's the best around Bangkok period. Gotta disagree with Suzy Wong, do not care for it at all. I like Tilac. Some guys post that some Tilac girls are too old, meaning late 20's or 30. I'm 45, not too old for me. I've had good experiences there, but they probably show less T&A than most. Dollhouse is nice too. But do not miss Long Gun, great dance shows, great girls, great toilet!

You went into the wrong bars. There are some real dead bars there, but a few pretty good ones. You'll need to do the research on the bars like mentioned earlier. It might have been bad luck on your part, but there are some crappy bars there in my opinion, but that can be said in alot of other areas also. It is usually cheaper and a little more laid back at Soi Cowboy.

I guess I DID just have bad luck. Is there any upstairs or side alley places I didn't notice or what? Are the good places just mixed in with the bad?

my best advice is to walk down soi from the long gun side..but count back a half dozen til your checking out the small bars...there are a couple of absolute stunners who are so f_cking co-operative and serve well that f_ck the big joints

can you just not keep some things quiet! i am with you on that and the atmosphere, girls are not the youngest but are pretty unspoilt! very good memories in their, allthough the boss is a stingy german!
