k... i went with a friend to watch the famous ping pong shows in patpong...our intent was to really watch the shows...
outside touts where showing the signs i am sure you are all to familiar with... the flyer read "no cover charge" get inside the girl, after agreeing to by a drink, gives me a ticket and tells me 300b each...
i was slightly less than pissed to say the least cuz i had already been in LOS long enought to know that pretty much everyone is out for some B.... so i told her that we wouldnt' pay because he said "no pay" well that didn't go over that well, it got heated and I told her that we wouldn't pay for our drinks or anything.. at that point i got up to walk out and she pushed me...
i know i'll get slammed for this but whatever, i looked her in the eye and told her if she pushed me again i'd beat the shit out of her... she understood that tad of english and let my friend and i try to enjoy the show for free...
i say try cuz every half second there was a girl there asking for a hand out.. buy me this buy me that..i couldnt even see a show cuz i was too busy swatting away the flys.... what is the deal with this..... it seemed like some of the things, razors were smoke and mirrors but i couldn't tell cuz the girls would bug off... i shouldn't be annoyed by this but i really wanted to watch the show... is the "show" just a cover or what is the deal?
btw - i was at beer garden last fri and sat, i was looking around the room wondering which of you guys were in the crowd..lol i read this board quite a bit and though it was funny looking out wondering who ya'll were.... =)
i was the youngest guy in there, seriously..lol sitting on the raised platform in the back in case any of you guys noticed....

look i was drunk... i had read about guys getting beat up from ladyboys on this site... i wasn't going out like that.. where i come from ladies aren't ladies when they push you.... i really just wanted to watch the show.. i dont mind buying girls drinks as i did for a couple of them after I taught them some more english like "chill out" and "kick back"....
i know i sound like a dickhead but i really did turn the situation around and ended up having all the girls tell me i talk to much and having the one that pushed me ask me to meet her at 2 when she gets off.....
my post was to ask you experianced guys if you are familiar with this hussle, i mean seriously it was like kids in mexico trying to sell some gum... can't a guy just go to a show and not get some dragg ass girl come up and stick out her had for a hand out???
i did go to a show at nana well that g-spot place with girls dancing but i was with a girl... the girls were less agressive and i bought a few drinks there.... but it wasn't a show like the ping pong etc... is there a place where someone can just chill and watch a show or will i always be hussled?

No worries TT, you just cannot compare nana with the second floor joints at patpong. Most likely you walked into the place with the intention to see the show only and than bugger of. This is what they don't like, no offense ment.
My first experience with a similar place or maybe even the exact same place, was together with a Thai business partner. Obviously I did not get any hassle. I think if you go to a place like this for the first time it is better to go with a local, or if that is not an option go with a more experienced person.
Another option in case you do want to go on your own is to not look at the show only but just sit down have drink chat to the girls first, buy them some drinks have fun with the and later move some of your attention to the show. Bottom line, they wanna make money if they do you will have less hassle.

no hassle options for shows are suzy wong in soi cowboy or long gun and angelwitch (nep). the last two do not offer nude dancing and the razor and ping pong stuff you do only get in patpong these days.
from what you were describing you seemed to be in 'firecat' in patpong, may be next time you better try the queen castle above camelot. it is part of the kings group but at least there are not so many tricks there than in other places.
