I stayed at the Regency Park hotel in March and took a picture of the Soi across the street from the hotel and noticed a club sign called The Hairy Pie Club and wondered if anyone had been inside.

It is a fairly normal bar with a pool table. Nothing "specialty" about it.
UKYorkie practically lived there at one time, I think.

Ah, but what potential - hair & pies or some combination of both. Having lived in Japan & seen some of the bars there, I think I need to buy this bar & develop the opportunity!

The Hairy Pie Club is great afternoon hangout bar. Taffy the owner is a very helpfull fellow who is well connected, he welcomes new customers and introduces them to others. But let one of his girls cross him and all hell breaks loose yet if one of them is in trouble in any way he's the first there with help.
Took a girl from there last Jan for matinee fun back at my hotel on Soi 33, after 1.5 hr of fun I decided to get some kip so let her go. The next day Taffy wanted to know what was wrong with the girl and why I'd sent her away early. When I told him it was my decission he bought me a drink.
THPC is a good place to play pool.

Punter has it right on the Pie... one of those low key places that is either your style or is not. This is not stunner territory, but the service attitude is excellent... good action around the pool table whether or not you play the game yourself.
Very much in the running for "worst bar name in Thailand" honors.

What CG says about me living there is well true  Def not the neatest bar in town but a whole load of fun.........
Taffy is def a character, and the bar has a load of expats and regulars that gather there, def more of a late afternoon after work place. Once you have been there a few times and got to know the faces etc, its like walking into your local back home.
Normally have arround 10 girls working there, not stunners but def good honest fun and no hassle with lady drinks etc. And CG voted one of them the prettest girls at one of the RT's last year.......... Girls will go and change your money, get you some thai or western food and are very genuine.
Good pool table and normally attracts a good few playes with a few Baht flying arround.
Just dont expect the Ritz or Soi 33 style girls, which in a way is why I like the place and def my first point of call when I get back in July

My favourite bar in bangkok. One of my favourite girls works in there sometime. When in Bangkok breakfast in Bourbon st, (eggs benidict), and a glass of sparkling wine then down to Taffy's at 10am to have a nice start to the day. Bar is quite and the girls are very friendly. Taffy usually appears in the morning with a hangover. Which usually means fun. Lady drinks also the cheapest in town.
