Discovered a great pool bar on corner of Sukhumvit Soi 19 - just above Country Road. Staff incredibly friendly, beer is good and the tables and cues are very well cared for. After Work is the name - and judging by the ambience and relaxed atmosphere, a good name at that. I advise anyone in the area to check it out. Some little minxes too!

Agree mostly... Do not care about the pool too much at this place but between 4 and 7 PM it is a great place for 'people watching'. Large windows give you a good view on the Robinson corner of soi 19. Service is decent, the beer was definately cold...

Def a good pool place and gets a good mix of expats in most eves, some nice (if young) girls that keep the drinks and the smiles flowing. Not sure if good to go though as never seen it myself......
If you fancy a good game of people, play with the thai guy, not sure of his name but he has a dodgy eye, he plays quite good and can play for fun or drinks
Place is run by an english guy, def recomended

I was in After Work the past 2 Fridays and the place is really swinging by 8pm. The girls are good to go in most cases, and there is one absolute stunner...good music and the staff are very friendly. Apparently they are organising the Heineken Cup pool contest for Aug as well. A really good find.

Opens at about 13:00 and there is no charge for pool until 7pm. After 7 it's 20b/rack. Heinie draft 50b/glass or 180b/pitcher, with peanuts. The ladies don't begin to show up until about 5pm.
Don't neglect Nineteen on the 3rd floor... venue/format is almost identical but does not seem to get quite as much traffic as After Work. Same owner as Country Road.

Country Rd update on bar fines, down stairs 400B, after work 600B top floor 500B and that kind of is reflected in the quality of the girls as well.
DF did not know about the free pool, they have been bloody charging me for it this week in After Work, top floor is free untill 7 I know that and Heinie is just 10B an item more expensive

I really like this place, too. Both this and the top floor is good for early evening pool and beer.
