For those like me who miss the footie too much, where do folk reckon is the best place to watch a game and get the latest score updates from home?
For those like myself who follow the Nationwide or Coca Cola as it is now, do any bars have Sky Sports etc...usually seems to be live ESPN Premiership?
Been to Gulliver and used the web update but curious where folk gather if anywhere for the atmosphere etc. Beer garden Soi 7 tried also.

ESPN is showing both FA Cup and EPL next season.
Just about every bar in Thailand will show the football when it is live so take your pick!
Biggest screen with English comentary seem to be at the "better" bars suchs as Irish X, Dubliner, Londoner, Gullivers etc.
During recent Euro games beer bar on the small soi running between Soi 5 and 7 (where all the sluts go to eat) seemed to be the best atmospere and was packed out until 5am for the final England game, and was still serving drink.

Thailand does not seem to cater for the Nationwide league anymore. A few years back I remember watching Stoke v Preston ( A Div.2 live game) in a burger bar just off Walking Street in Pattaya with Andy Gray commentary.
I have not seen any Nationwide games in Bkk for a few years. They may show the odd high profile one if it does not clash with anything else but Thailand for lower league football coverage is now officially sh_te in my opinion.
The only hope is to find a bar that has the South African Sports Packages as these show everything. Do not rely on standard cable deals which only show ESPN & Star Sports. Ask around a few of the bars on Soi 4..they may know. The Londoner may have a wider cable choice & The Bulls Head told me that they show Nationwide Games but the cable was 'broken' at the time that I wanted to watch my team.
I shall be staying in Taiwan to watch the Stoke v Wolves game on August 8. At least I can guarantee that the game will be shown here. I can do without women for one day..besides it's a Sunday & I will be at church!!

surprised about your comments about Nationwide Games,you saying no Games shown anymore?
i am surprised because Sky have the franchise to show the games and last season there were over 60 live Games.
is it a choice of the Bars not to show them?

It may have something to do with the fact that Sky Sports1, Sky Sports Extra, Sky Sports Gold, 2,,3 4, etc are sold as different packages.
I am no expert on the above all I know is that it is very rare to see nationwide games in Bkk these days. 3-4 years ago every TV in NEP was showing them.

Stoke v preston live on Walking Street...DS Bones. Doesn't get any better fella.
And we beat them that night I remember with a late goal from Jamesy.
Struggled to find Stoke v Ipswich on anywhere last year, couldn't find a pub at all with the nationwide on. Gulliver had the internet update page left on which helped but always a bit much for me when you can't find out how we're doing yet the Prem gets updated every 5 mins on ESPN.
Stoke v Wolves will be at the Britannia btw. Can't wait.

It's because of the disrespect of clowns like him that make you want to skip over notes. He has no respect for other people, either women or fellow forum members. Think with your big head (the one on your shoulders and not between your legs) for a change. Most of your remarks are so juvenile and contibutes very little (if anything) to the topic at hand. Maybe the forum should give him your own forum or provide us with a way to block forum notes of specific users.

except for Pay-Per-View which I do not have as I can go to the local and watch it for free.
