I was staggerring along Soi 33 on Friday night and spied a newly opened bar.
It was the Oliver Reed Club. For those who do not know Ollie he was a fine actor in the 1960s but somewhat given to drunken debauchery which had an impact on his career.
His last film was the Gladiator in which he played the master of the gladiators. If I remember the story right he went on a 3 day bender in Spain half way through filming and drank himself to death. The film was finished without him and some cunning ingenuity used.
Well I sidled in and there in the corner was a shrine to the great man.
The bar had only been open a few days and was aiming at being another girls and drinks bar like a lot of Soi 33.
Upstairs were several pool tables and a clean toilet.
Some of the girls were pretty but sorely in need of some drunken debauchery.

But it would have to be a BJ bar and you could consciously go home and tell your significant other that you "Did Not have Sex with another woman" since it is now proven having a BJ is not sex.

EricE, DrLove, ManualBKK and one or two others had some fun in this bar two nights ago. No other customers, nice girls (mostly new BGs, I think). It's worth a look.

went in there last week just before 21:00! besides me only one other customer! had my usual drink and left soon after as none of the girls attemted me to stay. much more better talent elsewhere on this soi!

It has actually been open about 3 months, and thus far has failed to gain any traction... good infrastructure, but lacks juice. (Same could be said about the other newbies: You & Me, Papas and The Brick). The biggest mistake these new owners make is trying to staff the place with inexperienced girls who don't know how to party... they hire a couple of pretty faces to troll outside the door when the bar has nothing to offer... they don't understand that it's not the meat, it's the motion).

last time I was in Soi 33 area, prior to 2004, was to go to Washington Square, and there basically were no Soi33 bars...

You must be a real old fart. I started coming here in 1990 and my first bar I went to was Degas on Soi 33. No bars on Soi 33 you must be pushing 60 something
