Can anyone kindly tell me were the Winkling Frog and the Robin Hood Bars are and if they are worth a visit to have a drink.

Winking Frog is near the Soi 7 beer garden on the left as you approach. An ok pub but nothing special.
Robin Hood never been in but walked past a few times. Near the Londoner and the Bull's Head pubs....pretty much in between the two next to the skytrain station I seem to remember.

Seem to remember the Winking Frog having a nice drop of Guinness and a few nice ladies on show. Always went in early on the way to the Beer garden just for a pint of the stuff.

Robin Hood is new pub on Sukhumvit just about 25 mtrs closer to Emporium as you walk from Villa Market. No info yet but will try to check it out this week.

Robin Hood is a Pub as reported correctly by both
jack attack and CheshireCat.
An attempt at a real British Pub. Grub and tables.
The barman could not pour a pint of Black Velvet - (Guinness and Cider) it was funny watching him try to squeeze more and more foaming guinness into the glass with little success. Cost them about about four pints of the black stuff before I ordered two seperate halfs and a pint glass to show him how it should be done (sign of a miss spent youth)
Didn't even have a feeelancer in there at 7.00 a week last Saturday.
The waitress upstairs is deaf I think, but was really helpfull and cute.
I think she is in need of checking out a little more!

A bit pricey but generally OK for an English pub.
The beer included Kilkenny, Guinness and Paulaner (none English) and teh usual Heineken and Singha.
The food we sampled was ribs (OK) BBQ chicken wings (OK) and a tseak and kidney pie with mash which was actually quite good.
Then the band came on. Not too loud, couple of cutie singers, bashed out some decent Brit pop of the 1980s.
Overall not a place I would beat a path to but more than ample competition for the Bulls Head just around the corner.
Clientele were mostly expats, some Thais, some tourists but no P4P action. This is one to meet friends and eat and drink.
Not sure it will last as there are so many Irish and English bars in this strip now offerring food, drink and entertainment.
Bulls Head, Londoner, Dubliner, Robin Hood and further afield Bourbon Street and even Witch's Tavern offer similair concepts without having to walk too far.
If you add in some of the lady friendly places on Soi 33 such as Mojo's etc. then it is quite a range of places apart from the girlie bars and clubs.

Thanks to everyone for that imformation. The Robin Hood has got to be better than the Bull's Head. I have also heard that there is a British type bar just opened by the bottom steps to the entrance to Asoke station. Does anyone know anything about this?

I agree about the Bull's Head. There is a clique of loud English expats with plummy voices who like to hang at the bar there loudly lying to each other about their great success in life. Paper Tigers.
