Just wanted to post about my last night in Bangkok (July 21st 2004) - went to Sea Dragon to look for the very tiny girl who I barfined from there about a month ago. Turned out the girls from Sea Dragon had all moved to Manderin (which is owned by the same people). Went to Manderin and saw a girl I had barfined before. I told her I was looking for tiny girl and she said she had gone short time but would be back very soon. I said ok, told her I would take both of them, since I wasn't going to have to bar fine tiny girl (she had already been bar fined for the short time). Paid the bar fine for the other girl and had a couple of drinks with her. Soon tiny girl comes in and is sitting on my lap. I tell her I want to take her and she says ok, mamasan is sitting there too and says ok you pay bar for her now. I tell her no, she has already had her bar fine paid for the nite. Mamasan says a man just took her out for some food and that was a bar fine to eat I need to pay the bar fine for short time. I just laugh and tell her no way. She says something to tiny girl and she goes and starts putting on her dancing clothes. I tell mamasan this is no good, that I know how things work and this is not right. The girl I have already barfined starts talking to mamasan in thai trying to get her to relent, telling her that I have been there many times and etc. Finally I get fed up, I tell them all no problem, girl I have already barfined is now very upset, I tell her I will not take her home, but she can keep my barfine as a good bye gift. I then tell mamasan that I post on the internet and will tell everyone about this. She says again that that was a bar fine just for food and I say ok and leave. A half hour later as I am walking out of another bar with 2 girls I see tiny girl dressed and leaving nana-plaza alone. I smile at her and she smiles at me.
There are too many gogos and girls in Bangkok to waste your money on places that try to lie and cheat you right to your face. My advice to all: avoid Manderin and Sea Dragon in Nana Plaza.

It's pretty usual practice, isn't it? That separate guys have to pay separate bar fines...
Of course, if she liked you enough, you could have both been a bit more dishonest about it (i.e. pretend you weren't interested, leave and get her to meet you a bit outside a short time later).

I think there are no rules, I have met both scenarios and tend to go with the flow. Tbh if the girl had just returned from an ST I would not be overly keen in the first place, stirring porridge et al....

Come on Jaybee if a girl goes ST and then returns to the bar were she works, then she's working again and the bar will expect a barfine if she goes out again either ST or LT.
If you think about it there would be no point as far as the bar is concerned in her comming back to work if she was not avaliable to be bought out again. If that were the case then she could go out again and again for nothing when if she was not there the bar could possibly get a fine from a girl who has not been bought out.
Any rate from my experience it common practice for bars to take bar fines for all girls going out the bars one or more times an evening.
If she was really that keen on you she would have done more than smile at you when you saw one another later in the evening

First of all: the only reason she came back to the bar was because the other girl called her and said I was there. I probably should have added that info.
Second: When we just smiled at each other I was with two other girls I had just bar fined. THe smile was just an acknowledgement that we both knew what had happend that was that.
The only place I have ever barfined a girl that has already been bar fined is in Pattaya where the bar fine is for the room too.

This is common practice as is for most cases the girl will receive a portion of the BF money. Some girls work as non-paid employee's of the bar in exchange for lax rules like showing up when they want and taking days off when they want to, their only compensation is a portion of the drink money and BF's.

I agree with TU on this (normal practice) but not on the system. But realistically there is no code of conduct or ISO rating on Bars & Go Go's, only what they can get away with. Your right in voting with your feet!

Its all about business. If the girl goes back to the bar, its because she wants to get another customer, another bf etc. These girls who are on a monthly wage, need to meet so many bf's a month or they are deducted from their salary, so if she can get 2 or 3 in one night, that goes a long way to the end of month tally.
If a girl works on the relaxed rules of no salary, then she is expecting to get another bf as well as st or lt money, it is what makes up her wages. The bar will let her back in to work after a st, because she is going to make drinks and hopefully another bf that they share in. Otherwise, if the bar got nothing, why let her back to work where she could take a customer away from a girl that has not been bf'd that night, hense taking away income from the bar.
Remember, this is a business at the end of the day, not a gf pickup pub.
