Been to LOS a number of times but normally only stay for 1 or 2 nights in BKK before heading off to Samui. Going out in December and want to stay a few nights in BKK. Done Suk area and wanted to try out Ratcha area. I know all about Poseidon from prev posts but can you tell me if there are any other bars that are worth a look in that area? I know it depends on what I am looking for but open to any suggestions.

Have not been there a lot myself but Rachada Soi 4 seems to be the new hot place for the young Thai. Even RCA is feeling the punch...

Yes go to Soi 4. But it is very Thai. Very few foreigners. A youngish hi-so crowd. Best between 8 and 10/11 ish b4 they move on to the clubs.

I know your taste....you should definitely try it out.
Rad is particularly good in Racahdapisek soi 4 but there are plenty of other places.
Still they are very Thai and I dont think I would really recommend them for someone who doesnt speak ok Thai.
I guess Hollywood disco or Sparks would be better for a visitor......and hey you are not that far from the Caribbean...
