hi all
hope this is in the right section
just got back from trip (yup it suck being back) and had conversation with thai GF who works at NEP as dancer
she told me if I pay bar momma 10,000 bht in advance to bar, whenever I return I would not need to pay BF when I take her out of bar (for 1 month/31 days?)
i figure I beats paying 500-600bht everytime
500bht * 31 days = 15,500 bht
is this true? or is this not a good idea?

yes, that is true at most bars, and has been discussed somewhere on this forum previously. (and yes, this is probably not the right section of the forum for this question -- BK?)
at any rate, I can't tell from the way you phrased it, but you certainly wouldn't want to pay this fee "in advance"; if you're gonna go for it, find the girl the first day of your next trip here (if not well beforehand) and (assuming you'll be here for a month to maximize your cost/benefit ratio), discuss with her the prospect and be sure she's down with it, then pay it the night you want to the 30 days to begin. and remember, 30 days is a long time to be with a BG, so you'd better have known her for a while first, to be sure of what yr getting into (her habits, flight-potential, moodiness variances, etc) in advance. And of course you’ll also need to negotiate in advance, and money-manage on an ongoing basis throughout, whatever you’re gonna be paying her as well.
Never get talked into paying this fee “in advance” with the promise that next time you come back she and your thirty pre-paid days will be here waiting for you. There are far too many potential reversals to ever even contemplate doing such a thing: she could split, have prior commitments, have lost interest in you, have left that bar, or she, the mamasan and the bar could just decide to give you the shaft. C.o.d. is the only way to go on this one.
still, my prior advice stands: a week, maybe two weeks is an average max time-together for new farang/BG relationships. the 30-day deal may sound good at the outset, but what if you have a fight (or she makes one, for whatever reasons of her own), and she bolts back to the bar after a week, two weeks, whatever time shy of the full thirty -- no matter the reason, you will not be getting a refund, pro-rated or otherwise. These relationships can be great for a few days, and then for no reason of your making, or for no *apparent* reason whatsoever, a minor misunderstanding can turn into a full blown meltdown, and yr left holding the bag. If you get two full weeks before a meltdown, you’re still not too burned -- fronting 10000b vs 600b a night (8400b) fer night for 2 weeks. But if it all goes south after a week, you’ll be wondering where your BG -- and your bargain -- done gone.
(you say yr just back from a trip here? what did you end up paying the BG in question on a daily basis from you last thread-enquiries?)
On a somewhat related point: there have been times over the years when I’ve barfined a BG and not ten minutes out of the bar, long before we’d even gotten to a room, she bolted, vanished, made a scene and soured the moment, whatever. I have gotten my bar fines back in the past by returning immediately to the bar and presenting the issue to the mamasan. This is by no means a guaranteed deal though, as more and more, bars refuse to accept responsibility for anything that happens immediately after yr barfine is paid. I have even heard stories about guys who’ve paid bar, the chick got dressed and came back to the table, further dialogue ensued and before they’d even left the bar it became clear things were not gonna work out as one of the two parties imagined; date cancelled, mamasan summoned…and sorry charley, but we accept no responsibility for troubles between you and your BG post- BF payment. Buyer beware.

"Caveat emptor" for all these deals! Last week I saw a TG return a Bar Fine to a customer so as to go with a "better" customer. He got "unbiffed" to quote CG and even tears didn't help him!

just to answer question and tell story
you are right 4 days into the stay we began to have small tiff that eventually blew up into BIG one
(story in MISC. Girls - money & gifts)
we made up and worked it out
just wanted to know opinions on the 10,000 bht fine and your explaination seems reasonable to me
as for how much I paid
after first 2 days her mom called and told her she needed money to pay off a debt (?) and banks closed on Sunday. so before she left for half the day to give her mom money (lives 2 hours out by bus) I gave her 5,000 bht (what her mom needed) in an envelope
after my stay I gave her 14,000 bht (excluding bf) for the next 7 days after that

Do these guys realize that these girls are just out for the money 99% of the time. We are talking about prostitutes here! It's there job to get the most money out of every single customer. The more sensitive a guy is the more money they get out of him.
