It's a new bar that I own with my wife Wan, so apologies if Moderators consider this post too much self-advertising !
Anyway, if you are around Sukhumvit 1 Plaza tomorrow (Wednesday 18th), then we are opening a new bar, and all are welcome to drop by, from about 6pm
Revolution is a small, dimly lit bar with a Cuban/Mexican theme, ie salsa music, tortila chips, sour-cream etc, as well as Cuban cocktails.
Free food will be available (or at least until everyone eats it all...)
The bar is on the ground floor, at the back and just by the toilets (handy...)
Also, 10% of the bar profits will be given to the childrens' nursery at Bangkok Womens' Prison. Thats not a once-off event but a contribution that we will make every day that we make a profit (which hopefully is most days!)

Very much I like the latin music there is much in Paris to visit.And the old music also like Perez Prado such a big hit in the 1950s. You have burritos and tomales and fajitas? Fajitas are tasty like the latin women.Jalopenas to munch at the bar? (also the ears of the ladies) Please tell me what is your music list to play.I would like to know. I shall also visit this bar to listen music. Good yes?

Went to the opening last night. Seems like a decent place. It's small but quite cozy. The people are friendly and the prices are good.........not sure if it was just an opening night promotion or not. I went for the music because I love salsa. And I was not disappointed. My guess is that this will become quite a decent chill out bar, a place where friends meet, not a place where u go to find new friends if u know what I mean. Suits me fine and I will go back. Recommended.

Promotion? For the friendly people or the prices??
The prices on this opening night are the same prices for every night! And I hope the friendly people will also stay friendly 
I'll be adding to the salsa music list when some CDs I ordered from the UK arrive (assuming they are not stolen in the post..)
Also, I'm trying to get some live salsa/latin music every week, but I'm having problems finding suitable musicians in BKK. Any suggestions?
We hope to add more Mexican food in the future, but I know it's difficult to find decent Mexican ingredients/food in BKK. And everyone has their own idea of what is decent food and what is not!

Stopped in there last night. (I was the guy with the Alice Cooper shirt).
Not a bad little bar. No major hassles from BGs with the "buy me drink" stuff. I'd recommend it to someone that's into music with a hispanic flavor or a change of pace. Must admit I didn't hang around for long as I'm into rock n roll, but it's a nice spot.

Wickedwilly35, dancing is just about possible, (and encouraged), but the room is rather small, so break-dancing is frowned upon!!

I'll definately drop in when visiting in late June. My only reservation is that with a name like 'Revolution' + a Cuban theme, that there may be homage paid to that phony, murderous, pedophile, fascist hypocrite Che Guevara. Who's been made a romantic icon throughout the globe by ignorant morons wearing t-shirts with his image adorned. Other than that, sounds like a smashing good place. Looking forward to my visit.
