Yep it has been a whole friggin' year since I was last able to enjoy the treasures and pleasures of the LOS. Come October 1, I will be back in Monger Heaven.
Anyway, my favorite GoGos in the past have been as follows.
NEP
First Floor - The 2 Rainbows, Hollywood, Playschool
2nd Floor - Mandarin and Angel Witch, maybe G-spot
3rd Floor - Caroulsel
Based on reports here and elsewhere, I plan to check out - The other Rainbows, Mercury, Masquerade and Erotica VIP.
Soi Cowboy
Long Gun (It used to be my favorite in all of BKK. I got some great and fun girls from there in the past. I know it has a new name and a sister bar next door, I just don't remember their names now.) It is my only Soi Cowboy favorite.
I'll revisit Dollhouse, Tilac and Baccara, even though I have never found much going on in any of them in the past. Perhaps things are different now.
So how about your thoughts on favorite GoGos. I'm escorting a complete newbie and want to make sure I don't let him miss out on anything.
OK. Don't bother recommending the Katoey Bar on the second floor next to G-Spot. Apparently there is also a new one. I forget the name. I live in SF, but that's just not my thing.
Helpful responses will be appreciated.
BTW. I did a search for "Best GoGos" and "Favorite GoGos". Nada. Nothing of use.

The Long Gun is still, basically, The Long Gun. The "sign police" enforced a local ordinance that decrees the name on the door has the be the same as the name on the business license. The name on the marquee now says, "Country Star," but over each window, in bright tube neon, it says, "Long Gun."
I've never understood the popularity of The Long Gun. The lighting is poor to just plain bad. The seating is poor to downright unpleasant and you can smell the toilet from the street. There are much better bars on Soi Cowboy.
You might consider the Shark, Suzie Wong and Sheba's to name just a few.

My favorites in Soi Cowboy are:
Suzie Wongs
Shebas
LongGun (or whatever they call it these days)
All have some incredibly hot ladies. Or, at least they did the last time I visited.
Another favorite is Baccara. That glass dance floor and the girls dancing up there will give you whiplash. LOVE IT but very expensive.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've never been in Sheba's or Suzie Wongs or Sharks. I'll give them a look.
I know Long Gun is an old bar, but the shows can be entertaining and the girls I've had have always been quite accomodating back in my room. My first LOS barfine was from Long Gun. Funny thing was that I was her first barfine too. She didn't speak much English. The Mamasan interviewed me first before she let the girl be barfined. She was great back in the room, but I never saw her again. Her pic is still up on their webpage though.
