If anyone can help. Has Soi Cowboy changed their closing times due to low season? I know Nana has changed to 2.

Nana closes at 2 AM only during the weekend (Friday and Sat.) but it is against the law.
When the police comes they close at 1:00Am.
Soi cowboy same.

Sometimes bars and clubs "try their luck" and stay open later, on my last visit Angels disco was staying open until 3am, totally illegal of course.

I thought the new law stated " close at 2am,, but last drinks to be served at 1am " ???
So buy 4 drinks at 1am!!!!

In Nana 2 weeks ago, I think it was a Wednesday night there was some crazy thai guy running arround with a sign saying open to 2AM. TIT  upto then had been clossing at 1AM.
Angels was a regular haunt of mine that trip and some nights it would close dead on 1am some times as late as 3.30!

I have never seen Angels close at 1am, I assumed they had a 2am licence, the same as CM2 ?????

I was at Nana on the 26th, and there were a lot of signs indicating the 2AM closing time. Then on Soi Cowboy on 27th and it appears the 2AM closing time was valid for many of the bars there as well.
Certainly not official and maybe a concession by the BIB to allow the bars to pull in enough cash to make the proper payments during the slower periods in BKK. I will be back to SC again on 29th or 30th and will inquire with some of the bar staff.
