The new bar between soi 14 and the Sheraton hotel sukhumvit has just opened called The Players.
The pool girls have on the back of there shirts Are you a Player but really its been done out really nice with 3 soverigh 9 ball tables 1 brunswick and 3 smaller tables, also a chess and backgammon its good l will be back for sure.

FYI - new pool bar in BKK; The Players: formerly Afterwork. Afterwork closed. Risto found a new premises across Suk. It is down a dark alley but they do have a sign. This is a nice spacious club that frankly fixed most of the shortcomings of Afterwork. Introduce yourself to Steve or Risto & tell them Rick sent you.
Very very good equip - right on par with Ball in Hand. Cheers.

Went there recently and left after 20mn.
Place in absolutely NOT on par with Ball in Hand. I'd say it's a similar place than Metro (soi Nana) which is also owned by the same people as BIH.
if you want to play real pool in a serious environment than nothing beats BIH... Players is just a bar with Pool tables

How is this place in the afternoon? I always enjoy a few friendly games late in the day before I start my night.
I've tried a few places during the daytime. The old Afterwork was pretty fun. It had a fairly decent amount of people in the afternoon and always plenty of girls to shoot with you. Flyers seemed ok, but a little boring to me. Bamboo bar was dead, although the waitresses were friendly. Gulliver's was a sausage factory.
