Has anyone here made off for ST or LT with the girls from a "respectable" pool bar like the Brunswick or Flyers? I've flirted with these girls a lot, but never really sealed the deal to see them outside the club. I'm a "respectable" man, so I can't be seen escorting one of these girls around town, but wouldn't mind a friendly romp with one or two of them if that were possible to do with no strings attached. Earlier this year Flyers had one very tall attractive girl who could really play, but I got the feeling that these girls only very rarely dated the customers. Or is that just what they want me to think?
What about the freelancers who pop in now and then? One girl with what looked like a snake tattoo down her backside came into Flyers a few times when I was last in Bangkok and she was hot. Probably only a 7, maybe 8 in pure beauty, but she could shoot pool and she was constantly scowling which made me want her even more. I'm sure the fantasy is better than the reality, but I was thinking pretty hard about it.

As my lawyer would say, it depends. Some of the girls who work in respectable places are a no go but they will let you know quickly if their not interested in s/t. Just seal the deal at the bar and not after youve taken them out to dinner, dancing, etc.

Have not taken any girls out of Brunswick or Flyers, as for New Wave and Bamboo Bar, sure, both ST and LT. Besides, these girls move around, after some time, you will find them in the other bar. One girl that I had from Bamboo Bar (a long time ago) now works in Flyers. Some don't seem to go out with customers because they have already have a boyfriend(s).

Before Flyers was Flyers, it was Out of Bounds. Back then the barfine was 800 for Sun - Thurs, 1000 for Friday and Saturday. Don't know if they still have this system. I know that some, if not all (I wasn't interested in all) were bar fineable back then. Don't know if they were all semi-pro. I had a strange relationship with one of the bartenders back then that I eventually told her to leave me alone.
More recently, on my last trip in May/June, there were one or two at Flyers who were really flirting. I know the one wanted me to take her to a disco after work, but I had other plans and didn't follow through. But I can tell you she had a very interesting (at least to me) body and when she leaned over to rack or play pool it was apparent that she only wore g-string style underwear. Bra was optional, which is a nice touch in a pool bar. I would guess that she had worked on Soi Cowboy or Nana before, but you never know.
Net, it probably depends. Just flirt like you would with anyone else and see where it goes from there. They'll let you know if they are interested. And many Thai girls love to flirt and be flirted with. It's part of what makes them so special.

I guess my difficulty is in being too nice a guy. ÝI'm much more forward with girls in gogos or the more slutty pool bars, but at Brunswick and Flyers I take it real slow and subtle. ÝI enjoy hanging out and playing pool and didn't want to screw things up by outright asking for ST from one of the girls and I've made it clear I don't want a relationship, so I end up in no-mans land. ÝI still have a great time though.
Maybe I'll have better luck if I go at night. ÝTypically I play pool at these places during the day and hit the gogos and "entertainment" areas at night.

Well, you could invite one out for dinner, disco or whatnot. If she says no then just let it go. But probably she wouldn't. FWIW, if you look in ABC's photo site there are some pics in there from the old OOB (pre-Flyers days). Eventually I'll get around to sending him some more. I forget which section he put them in, but they should be obvious. Look for (a) the nicely dressed girls holding pool cues and (b) the lingerie fashion show.

BTW, sometimes, you can meet these girls hanging out in other pool bars. I have met a couple at Bamboo Bar. One was from the former Big Boy (now Big Blue) and another from New Wave (on Sukhumvit Soi 7). Just have a few drinks with them, no bar fines required and you could get lucky! I did.

Can I ask how much you guys tip the girls while in the pool bars?
I know I'm way too generous, but I don't know what if anything the standard tips are. ÝI do know they get some or all of the 20B per game, that may be enough tip for most of them. ÝHowever, once I get warmed up to the girls a little bit, I'll often offer them 100B if they can beat me (although sometimes I have to play left handed to let them win once in a while). ÝIf I've come with a friend we'll play teams; if I win he pays my girl 100B, if he wins I pay his girl. ÝOf course, I'll buy them drinks too if they are fun to be with. ÝI know they'd be happy with far less, but putting a little money on the table makes them take the game a little more seriously.
Any conjecture on the typical earnings for a pool girl (at a place with no barfines)? ÝIs it 300B, 500B? ÝI can't imagine it's very much.
By the way, I couldn't find the pool girl photos on the web site.

Most girls I've played at bars work there. I pay for the game and will buy lady drinks. One girl at the Bamboo Bar, Noi is a freelancers. If she loses she pays 20 baht for the game. She drinks beer and I've bought her dinner. IMHO the perfect g/f she's mute.
