hi everyone,
out of all the topics discussed on the boards, one always seem to be taboo. Short time hotels (or numbered hotels) that provide you with girls.
First off all I am aware that most of the hotels that do provide this service force the girls into the service. There was once an infamous newsletter regarding these numbered hotels in bangkok, but as I went out and tried looking for the ones that provided girls I ended up in some rather darker corners, which I dare not go again.
So if any one here has any experience with these hotels, good or bad please share it here. Also it would be nice if we could put together some kind of location list.

Kyryian - cheers for the email, - Certainly part of Thai culture is the short time hotel, - dont you love the big plastic curtains that hang over the car-port, so you can hide your vehicle !! Quite a few in my area, biggest seems to be called "99" on phyathai road, between Sri Ayuthhaya Road and Soi Rangnam, also the Krung Thai on soi Rangnam, near the "Tee Sud Isarn Inter" restaurant [ best cod & chips in Thailand] - but although sure they have girls available, think mostly the part time cleaners, or "has beens" - always a few girls hanging around the coffee shop, but never seen any with much class.

Short time hotels are usually drive in. They are located in virtually every Chinese area of Bangkok. Yaowarat, Samsen, Ekamai, even near the Phrakanong bridge, etc. They have greatly declined in numbers since a Democrat Government cracked down on them in the mid-90s. The reason is their stock of underage girls, many smuggled into Thailand from China, Burma, the Shan states etc. The most infamous ones were near the Texas Car Park off Yaowarat Road and of course no farang who has been less than 15 years in Bangkok would find those and get in. Try walking through the restaurant below the Texas Car park and you're in a backlane that is not too dark with gambling dens, funny barbershops, streetwhores, etc. just like in Times Square opr SoHO London.
I believe not all are forced prostitution places but rather have up-country girls on whose work a loan has been taken out by the parents. Phayao girl and fair skinned maidens from the North is waht most Chinese like anyway. The Thevet area in Bangkok used to have a very great number of them. The secret is to look for the numbers but many had names to. Incidentally, some of my senior academic doing work in the social sciences appeared not to know what was going on there, and that was before the crackdown in the late 80s.
Thai is indispensable. The prices used to be 90 Baht and the rooms were not always clean. The new girls were 300 or more Baht but I could never bring myself to undermine the economy in that way.

Last year i stayed in "Nice palace hotel" in the saphan khwai area.
The bellboys has a lefthand job as pimps.
I dont know if it is a ST hotel. I stayed there for a week.
The bellboy asked me if i wanted a girl brought to the room.
And i tryied it twice. I asked for a slime girl between 19 and 21. I picked 19 instead of 18 ,because i wanted to "play safe".
He brought me a ,not very atrctive girl who was 26.
I acceptet.
The second time was excactly the same story. But this time i said no thanks.And then 30 minuttes later he brought another girl ,who was a beautiful "young looker". He said she was 19. And i said fine, lets see some ID . She was 21.
The price was 1000 baht for ST and 2000 Baht for LT.

I have been trying to punch in some words on google ,and searched a lot of websites. But without succes in finding the adresse. The most promissing result ,was a link to nanapong.com . But it is "under
consrtruction" in these days.
I have a suggestion though.
Take the sky train to saphan khwai station. And then take one of the local taxiŽs. The taxi driver will know it.And if he does not. Just ask another one.The taxi drive is les than 5 minuttes.
The hotel is ok. And the service is ok. There is a 24 hours restaurent. Air-con TV and mini bar on the room.
And it is guest friendly.
The price is 750 baht for first time costumors. And 500 for for second time . When you check out the first time ,they will give you a card that says something like : "Friend of Nice palace hotel -blah blah blah".
And offer you the room for 500 baht in the future.
Maybe you can convince them that it is your second stay.
But i wouldŽnt reccoment you to stay in the saphan khwai area for to long.Because there is about 20 thai style go-go bars. Mostly catering thai men.
You can only take out the girls for 2 hours. And then she goes back to the go-go bar. You can not take a girl out of the go-go bars "long time"
I stayed in the area for a week and i think it is a little bit boring.
