hi all!
brilliant website, thanks
I'm going to SE Asia in January for 3 months on a shoestring tour. I'll definately being spending a few weeks in Bangkok thanks to this very helpful site.(& smiling faces) I'm trying to find a similar site with information on Cambodia and Vietnam but not much luck. any suggestions?
Also... as i'm on a tight budget was wondering which would be the best hotel to stay at in Bangkok for a 3 week stint? (easily accessible to all the hot spots featured on your site of course)

After traveling to Vietnam about 10 times in the last 3 years, I find it in Vietnam (Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City), kinda hard to find a "working" girl in the public. It must be done at night. I would stay away from the ones on the street 'cause of all the STD. Also, there is usually a guy who will take the money and leave you with the girl. Then the girl will take you to a short time hotel and then ditch you. So stay away from the street standing girls.
My best suggestion is go to the massage parlor and then deal with the girl privately. (THEY DO HAVE THE BEST MASSAGE IN VIETNAM). I wouldn't pay anything less than 50 a night for any of them. Problem is that you have to find the right place. I would stay away from the expensive hotel because they don't offer that type of service.
Go find a smaller massage/hotel place and then while the girls massage you, just ask her indirectly "Do you want to be my girlfriend tonite?" SHe'll tell you.
For my experience, I have not had much luck in Vietnam. I know they are there, but they are not as publicly as bangkok. Best advice I can give you is "Ask the taxi driver." they know everything.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't "Ask the taxi driver." in Bangkok. He would know some places alright, but only the ones that would give him commission for taking you there.
