so last night I goto Liberty Tower, at the end of Thonglor. stay for a while with some thai friends at JAM Bar. then move to the new place Ashley's Rumor.
ABout to see some of my friends in at around 12:10am then the doors are shut. not only do the boys in brown come but also the media (all channels) and also the politicians. Now I went to the FCUK party at All Seasons (and briefly at the CLEO party at BED, where some of my friends were) before so thought the media was the same but NOT! had to line up and take the piss test, waited a whole hour and half. all the bars were in wait. luckily I was clean.
Was so f**kin crazy. cameras blazin and politicians doing their s**t.
After I got out, my friends tell me that the test the thais do are for methaphetamines (sp?) and not the usual coke, weed and other things... crazy s**t!!!

Methamphetamine--big problem in Thailand, either real or imagined. Everybody from sweatshop workers to lorry drivers to schoolkids use it (according to the papers anyway). Apparently the test can give false positives for some prescription drugs and MDA (but not, apparently, for MDMA or MDEA).
I don't think enough Thais can afford coke for it to be a problem.

Ya ba use drop a lot as prices jumped from 100 baht for pill to 350-400. Extazi and ketamin is still drugs of choice in BKK.

clubs are no go for me when in los especially in the first week. What happened to the good old days of possesion charges. Sometime in the future they will come up with a brain scan and you get busted for thinking anti - governent thoughts.
seems like nothing is respected anymore these days,

I'm lead to believe that either the K you can get in Bangkok has got somehow 'weaker' or has been replaced with some sort of weaker substitute. The Calypso ain't what it used to be, anyway. I'm also lead to believe that the Es are quite good, but expensive by European standards.

Agree 100%. Special K is sux recently, they started to sell it not in original bottles.Anyway for better results clubers making "CK" mix-K and Coc.Regarding E, I prefer to pay more and get it strong like it in Thailand or Singapore.
