Thanks BallsB. However, it is probably unrealistic to expect much tolerance from as diverse and motley a crew as the brethren especially when lurkers and kibbitzers are included.
One CD posts a polite questions and gets sneers, titters and guffaws. Same for gays and fetishists. Always the same for minority interests when faced with the vanilla (meaning 'straight') majority. Don't worry. The same lack of tolerance exists even within the minority "communities". For example gay BDSM people don't communicate too well with het BDSM people, gay men don't always see eye to eye with lesbians, adult babies might regard leathermen as perverts and vice versa...
Tolerance is something to aspire to, but is presently observed more in the breach...

Have a lot of experience with some of the subcommunities you've mentioned, via familial connections (yes there does seem to be a genetic component). Am amused and a bit saddened at times to see the minority communities beat each other. You'd think they'd have figured it out a long time ago ... have had family members assaulted and battered (ala "Torch Song Trilogy" ) just for being who they are in private. So I'm a bit testy on this subject too. Anyway, I hope you're able to help supermax enjoy his scene when in BKK.

Actually I agree with most of what you say.
It isn't about money. It's about the ladies not wanting to have some distant cousin or a friend of their families walk in. That's all. And while this might not apply to CDs, who tend to be very secretive, most Thai guys love to brag to their friends about their sexual escapades, and so make lousy security risks.
Anyway, management must respect the unanimous position of the staff. Were I to try to change things, they might walk. We are much more like a family than like "labor/management" but still. That's not how we do things.

And, there are plenty of places in town that won't let farang in.
