i agree with B4B.
i have only once been out later then 2am,most of the places closed then and i had no problem with it.
after being out for 5-6 hours i was ready for sex and sleep.

I agree that some guys just don't know when they've had enough and should call it a night. Unfortunately even with the 2 am closing they still have Grace hotel and Siam hotel so they probably never will learn. Peace

Personally, I am disappointed w/ the 2am closing time. I agree with others here, that most don't know when to quit, so the 2am closing might help.I am nightowl, and always get a late start.....
But, I just spent 1 week in the PI, and 10 days in Bangkok, and let me tell you....hanging out at NEP (Soi Nana) at 2am trying to decide who you can take home is nothing compared to being able to taste test the tits in the bars in Manila after 2am....that is, if you're still trying to decide....even Singapore bars stay open until 3am on some nights.

you are talking about 1 hour,does that make a difference?.
i think a lot of people(not me) remember when LOS was open until the sun rose.
to me and others very easy to decide wether you have 10 minutes or 6 hours.

i am a nightowl myself, and hardly hit the scene before 23:00! so one hour does make a huge difference, if not all! how i miss the old times where i could still hang around the gogo's at 04:00 am.
anyway people in thailand tend to go out early, not like the european way!
as for the british brothers i think for them i wouldn't make much difference as they are usually drunk by 23:00 - 24:00 anyway, right?

Part of the reason I would like to see clubs stay open later in Thailand is the fact that there are so many choices...its hard to hit more than 3 places if you start at 23:00. So,f the first 2 places suck, you are stuck w/the choices at the third place,....or relegated to NEP parking lot, or Thermae, etc...
But, the good news is that there are more places than say, Manila. Let me tell ya, I love Manila girls, but, there are only a few really quality places. And almost no places to pick up FL'ers.

griffin, i like it both early and late. i actually prefer no closing hours at all when it comes to serving alcohol. specially since i have to get a lot in my system before i can start feeling the exhilarating mood-enhancing effects of alcohol -which can take a few hours -or unless i take some not-so-kosher shorcuts -just joking 
when it is time to go out.... i like to start early and finish late. i like to start early to be able to talk to friends over drinks before we get too silly that we can't hold intelligent conversation and have to concentrate on the girls. specially since i can hold my drinking well.
and i agree with lalake on the on the number of bars one can visit in one short night -unless the place is dead, i like to stay in any one bar for a good solid hour minimum. more likely 1.5 or 2 and even 3. so nowadays i usually go to only one or two max in the same night.
oh! i miss the places where bars serve you hot soup and coffee when the sun comes out.
