I love you bros for sure, but I've been around here long enough now to notice that any thread that gets beyond a certain number of pages, changes its topic to "who said what and what they meant or didn't mean and weather they had a right to say it or not, did so, did not, did so, did not..."

What I won't miss is all the people that can't go with the flow. The ones that have to make a point of letting everyone know they are there. This is mostly tourists that do this. The "well I am so, and so" crowd, or the "you can't do that to me" crowd. No one gives a sh*t, and they already did it to you.....lol.
All the officials I have had the pleasure of dealing with, even the police, have been cordial, and professional, most even going out of their way to help me. Immigration being no exception.
There's a hell of a lot more than 3 immigration counters at the airport too.

taxi drivers saying they dont understand me when I tell the directions in thai and say meter...it didnt seem to be as much of a problem when I told them a local address as opposed to a hotel...
the baht at 32 as opposed to 42 when I moved back...aside from the punani...my weekly grocery bill would be way up....
dealing with the govt regarding work visa..it was a pain my last few months under thaksin and he was very close with the chaiyut family, who I worked for...forget about it now...and the taiwanese condo company I worked for almost a year and a half are just about under because of the farang situation now..
basically...I would not trade my 3 years in LOS for anything but am glad I am back in farangland these days...as well as my wife....
hopefully it will get better..
