You will have a great time. Guaranteed. I am definately not the paranoid type, but I know when I get drinking, and have girls crawling on me. I tend to forget, or care about where my cash is. The remedy is to do some prior planning when you are sober.
I have never had any problems with "Lima Bravos". That is the code word that myself and friends use when there is a confirmed ladyboy nearbye. It has worked like a charm, as it seems like all Lima Bravos tend to pay even more attention to you once they hear the word Ladyboy. They either get pissed off, or they will think you want them.

I call them f_cking ladyboys if they are on Sukhumvit pickpocketing and "nice lady" if they are serving drinks in a restaurant. As in "Would you like another dacquiri from the nice lady?"
There is no need to be derogatory towards them if they are just working and trying to get by and ladyboy has nuances about it which tend to upset them.
I have also found the standard of spoken English is higher amongst ladyboys. Hence be careful what you say.

As a punter who enjoys equally the company of either Ladyboys or Girls; I have only been ripped off by Girls.Having just returned from a month in Bkk; I feel these reports of LB pickpockets to be nothing more than "Urban Legend".Beware the Angels (girls) freelancers-one of them stole a gift (from a Ladyboy) from my room.After four years married to a Thai-girl;I hope I have learned SOMETHING!
