I think another problem connected with all this is that more and more farangs are starting to try out LOS as a holiday destination, as a result, the narrow minded pricks that would normally go to the Canary Islands, Spanish Costas, Ibiza or Greece are now plucking up the courage to travel farther afield, but still taking their provincial "two weeks in the sun" attitudes with them. They treat everywhere as a Club 18-30 holiday as thats all they know. They have no idea how to behave no matter where they are, and this includes where they live at home. I'm English but am often ashamed of my fellow countrymen when I am abroad (and I actually do live overseas). I get the feeling things are getting worse rather than better, and its no better when I am back in UK, there are ignorant and aggressive w*nkers everywhere.

Ý Ý ÝWell at least this thread is staying in perspective, and not a singled out nationality bashing. Thats good, even though the man in question was Ausssie causing the trouble. Seems for the most part we on this forum are all in agreement that behaviour of this kind, can and will not be tollerated. Syibils statement 90% of the people cant get it in their country thing, I dont see being true. I'd say more like thirty percent. The reputation of LOS alone over the years is more likely the true culprit. Vet stories to young minds of R&R trips, and "oooh man when I grow up I know where i'm gonna go" among other things. The internet, word of mouth, all being taken out of context. Like John Waynes Ýcharictar said in a movie (old western) "Forgive him maam, there was a slight negligence in his upbringin" as he was knocking his son off his horse for not tipping his hat. i'm sure there is many that are culturely challenged I guess you would say. They hav'nt been around the world, and most likely never have left their home town before. I know people like that where i'm from. They are like talking to a wall, and I dont think I would ever suggest to them to go to LOS or any other place.

The man in question as the stalker was an Aussie. However, the other incidents were from all types... Brits, Aussies, (mostly), and also other Europeans and maybe Americans (just fewer of them around I think).
So you are right that this problem seems to span nationalities. I could definitely say that I have not seen Asians behaving this way towards her though.
I think the problem really stems from the high availablity of cheap working girls in LOS in general. Certain people start to assume that any pretty TG is for sale and that they can do whatever they want in the country with respect to women.

This seems to be a general problem when certain types of guys hit Asia. ÝSeen it many times here in HK, though not usually as bad as Thailand. ÝGuys fresh off the plane from London almost tripping over their tongues with all the cute Asian ladies around. ÝLan Kwai Fong, an after work drinks area for the financial services guys, is notorious for groping and attempted pick-ups even when the guy's standing next to his girl! ÝThe biggest a-holes are those pompous,loud Brits.......I say no more.....being a Brit too.....

I would think that all of us are well aware that there are plenty of dickheads in our own countries so it is inevitable on the law of averages that some of these will end up in LOS on holiday. Air rage incidents are becoming more commonplace in the last few years.

The other sad fact is that most of these guys are middle aged with no prospects or hope of ever getting laid in their own country and unfortunately dump all their shit on these poor bar girls whom if they were ever to have a choice and had enough money would never sleep with these lazy and ugly slobs in the first place.
Theres nothing more sickening then hearing a middle aged guy brag (even those he paid $$$$) about some BG he took back to the hotel the night before.

I don't agree with the last post at all. The incidents have all involved guys in the age range of 25-30, definitley not more than 35. At least in the incidents that I am mentioning.
I don't think it has anything to do with "not being able to get laid at home". And, yes, there are lots of dicks in the home countries, but then why don't I see this behavior very often if ever at home? New York is a big place and I just don't see it. In BKK it is almost a daily or nightly occurance when i go out with my GF...
