With all due respect to Yurune and Mr Joe, they are of course completely out of the question for the job. I'm sorry, but professional involvement in the scene (no matter how long ago) or knowing the identity of any other member are automatic disqualifications.

No. What is needed here is someone who lives in BKK, has never been involved in the nightlife scene (except as a keen consumer, obviously), knows his way around a bit but is definitely not jaded.
One hugely respected member PM'd me to suggest an ideal - in fact obvious - candidate. Unfortunately, Ive deleted the message and can't quite remember the name. I have a feeling it began with an A...

Well that's just absurd! Anyway I happpen to know that Arcadius is...err... wait -- I'll think of something...
Anyway only a person with the experience, insight and contacts gained from once having been on the inside of the industry can properly do the job. In addition at least 15 years continuous residency and fluent Thai are prerequisites. Why? Well...they just are!

It's very sad, but Mr Joe is obviously insane. If he wasn't ruled out already (which of course he is), he'd have to be ruled out now.
Fluent Thai and 15 years' continuous residence in LOS are the worst possible recommendations. How could such a person be considered representative of the average member in any way? How would he know what they think? What they want? What their problems are? The whole idea is just ridiculous.
Sorry Yurune, you know another member. We can't be too careful. Rules are rules.
