This thread is starting to turn into a "Brit" bashing thread.
I would say there are a lot of assholes travelling to LOS, from all nations and not just the UK. It is unfortunate but LOS does attract the rubbish from all over the world.
And B1 for f**K sake get your head out of your arse, and stop generalising everyone with your own situation.
There are thousands of people of all ages passing through BKK airport each day going to LOS for hundred of reasons.

Hello all -
During the brief time I spent there last March, I was fortunate not to see any really aggressive bad behavior, but I did see a few guys basically acting like pigs towards the girls. I don't understand this attitude - I would think it's obvious that you can have so much better an experience by treating them well. I made my share of innocent mistakes through my own ignorance, but then I got my fair share of freebies and discounts as well, so I must have been doing something right  .
The world is full of assholes - even here at home our very attractive secretary at work seldom goes out to the local bars with her husband, as she gets hit on so much whether he's there or not and he is not the type to put up with this sort of bullshit.
People seem to pick on the Brits a lot, but then people the world over are all too familiar with the image of the British soccer lout. As Dave mentions, it's always the loudmouths that get the attention, even though for every one of them there are many of us that behave like normal people. I would like to think that most if not all of our members fit in the latter category.
As for the groups of assholes such as the guys that pissed off Dave, remember that there's a pack mentality at work here - they're all trying to outdo each other. Military types can be bad for this, and I usually try and avoid them if they are in groups.
Thank God most of us have manners.

The very sad fact is that many people lose touch with reality when they come to a "fantasyland" such as LOS or even Las Vegas. This gets exacerbated by the fact that they may have a few beers and think that they are back in their fraternity college days ,or in some cases don't think at all.
There is no excuse for purposeful bad manners or treating people with no respect.As pitiful as the situation may be,there is no way to "fix" the problem.The best that we can hope for is that these idiots will be influenced over time by the good example of others who treat people with their due respect.

yup... the more the merrier to bash them up!! why pity them when they cant even respect the local people, their culture and their livelihood!! give them a very painful lesson and probaly a few permanent scars for their disrepect!!

perhaps you guys dont go out when your at home but this type of behavior happens in the states as well...
when you get ghetto ass people, you get ghetto behavior... take a fine girl into a club in LA she'll get her ass grabbed... trust me... it happens everywhere...not just limited to bkk...

I think this is the first half of it, that many people just have no manners. The second is what we'd call in the US the "Wild West" syndrome. Young men, often away from home for the first time, feeling freed from supervision and all the restraints they would feel back home.

I agree that rude and juvinile behavior can be found all over the world, as well as racism.
Also that many that do cause trouble come from either less education or bad upbringing!!
There are three types that I've run in to in BKK that I think cause the most trouble:
First:
I think the worse ones are from the arm services and are on leave . The are like drunken frogs that will say anything and do anything to get laid. ÝLook no further then Pattaya when the 7th or 11th fleet puts in to shore.
Second:
The caucasian people that think that they are superior to asians. These are the ones that will grab another guys female in a bar, or talk trash towards when walking by. I've found that these idiots seem to found seated in the outside bar areas.
Third:
The asians who think they are better then anyone that is not their race. Sorry to say, but the Koreans tend to be the nasty ones when they want a female and it does not matter if she is taken or not. ÝThey also don't treat the females very nicely in the clubs. Asians though are pretty no-confrontational, but just plain loud!! But ... if pushed by another asian, will show there teeth.
** These are just general statements and not meant to offend any one race. Ýjust one persons opinions!!**
I wish that these types of people would just stay home.
