If there's one thing I can't stand, it's people ganging up.
Seriously, though, for all Stickman's faults, there's nearly always some good new stuff on his site. A little routine annoyance for those of us who are still undisillusioned (illusioned?) isn't that heavy a price to pay.
Trink, on the other hand, is just embarrassing these days - unspeakably bad. Has he got tenure for life? Do the BP folks even recognise they have a problem here?

Trink was ALWAYS bad. And he's not even that accurate in what little real info he does give.
He used to write for the Bangkok World (a now defunct sister publication of the Post) and when they went under the BP -- out of kindness really -- tried to find someplce to put him and he worked out a deal that essentially did give him a job for life.

That's ironic, as it sounds like what Stick was blathering about in a recent column how being liked and not rocking the boat will put you in better stead than competency. Ý Trink reminds me a bit of Larry King, blathering on and gone native. ÝHe is probably a funny guy to have a beer with but seems just a card or two short of the full deck.
The big question for our nominee would be, can any of you actually write? ÝIt's probably a bit more work to do this well than you would expect.
I should add that I'm quite certain you could all do the main job of research. ÝMaybe what you need is someone with some professional experience in journalism, and keep the three of you as "research staff"...

I have just joined this forum ( a newbie ) and reading your response above (as also most of your other responses ) reinforces my conviction that I have joined a forum which will always be kept on track by a mature Administrator .
My kudos to you ( and all others involved ) for an excellently conceptualised , designed and Administered Site .
