It is a shame that many farangs don't behave properly within the bar scene....and even out of it, as Tyler pointed out with his story.
I sadly realize also that quite a few rude male farangs mainly hang around NEP, where they think they can freely pull, grab, yell and shout to the TGs cos they erroneously believe they have just purchased a girl rather an a service (ST/LT)....some of these farangs are really a bunch of motherf_ckers. Saw once a guy at Carrousel (NEP) yelling at one GG-girl cos she didn't want to give him a BJ right there, in the bar, and in front of the other girls. The f_cker just pushed her darn rude that the TG fell down and went to the toilet to cry, I think. This bastard was faced by other customers and swiflty removed from the bar by his couple of drunk friends.
Let's face it, some idiots are hanging around and this is because they usually think "....all the TGs have a price written on their shirts, let's purchase a girl and go for some fun...."
Likewise, have you ever seen what's going on around 7pm underneath the Sala Daeng BTS Station?....Well, there is a major bus stop in there usually crowded with normal working girls after 10-12 tiresome working-hours for 5K/month....Many f_cking farangs are just coming dead drunk from Patpong and they start approaching these cuties thinking all of them got a price for an ST. I saw this quite often since this is my BTS Station before going to my gym. Shit!! Poorly behaved farangs? Yes, this is what these bastards are.
My personal view is that this forum should provide lots of information in the seek of good Sanook and as much insight of Thai culture as possible, cos in this way, we will let more brothers understand that the B-girls, GG-girls, Freelancers, MP-girls, hostesses at night clubs, etc. are human beings and NOT something you purchase in the market such as a piece of meat....

Pinga & Tyler, Everytime I hear stories like this it embarreses me. It makes me feel ashamed to be a Falang. Because we are different in appearance everything we do is noticed or magnified. This makes us so to speak ambasadors for our country, western world or falangs in general. The Thai's are going to develope attitudes based on our actions. Some people are such arrogent assholes. We should respect the culture and the people that make our stays in LOL so pleasent. Anyway I think it is so shameful.
Please don't talk about those widebody angels of western civilization in such disparaging terms. You may offend some people. After all they are not capable of such despicable behavior of selfishness.

The intend of the post was mainly to criticize the poorly behaved falangs cos of their rude attitude and actions, not to make a campain against them. No worries. I couldn't agree more with you about the atrocious,
degrading and downright insulting behaviour of some farangs.
My PERSONAL experience indicates that Aussies top the list in bad behavior towards local girls, followed by Americans and some Europeans.
I've never heard of a bg / mp girl, complain about bad behaviour relevant to (say) Japanese - their main complaint regarding Japanese was / is that Japanese show very little emotion.
I'd like to relate a personal incident: I was having a drink at a bar in Phuket and wanted to be alone that evening, so no 'lady drinks'. A bunch of Aussies walked in and immediately started fondling the girls . Bar girls have to put up with this behavior, so they merely smiled. One of the Aussies wanted to be one better , so he took out his dick and told a girl to give him an 'hj'.
Not to be outdone a second Aussie also exposed his dick and told another girl to perform a 'bj' on him. The poor girls were in tears. I walked out in disgust and was soon followed by a bunch of Japanese and other nationalities who exited that bar.
What I'd like to ask is: What sort of person considers deliberately humilating bar girls to be
funny / hilarious??
It is also worthwhile remembering that NONE of these girls have chosen this profession because they like it. They do this work because -quite often- they have few other options. Also, a lot of these girls engage in this profession because they want to assist poor/sick parents, or to educate a younger sibling.
Isn't it time that a bit more consideration, kindness and respect is directed towards these unfortunate individuals? After all- they also happen to be human beings

There are Brits, Danes, Poles, Germans, Swedes, Spaniards, Italian, 'Mericans, Japanese, and whatever, of which the later two I am, but for some reason it seems there has got to be another country called "Asshole Land" and people from that country seem to have migrated to every single country on this planet!

I agree and yet disagree. It is easy to identify "drunken farang trash" because "they are not like us". But, drunkenness in many Asian countries is an accepted and understood state of being and although a drunk Farang may do exactly the same thing as a drunk Thai, which I have seen on numerous occasions, it is different because one is Farang. It is hard to explain other than two things, "it is better to know the devil that one does know,,," and "he is foreign so I can not know what he will do." "They" know how to deal with a drunk Thai, however they don't always know how to deal with a drunk Farang although every case that I have seen, the same thing would have worked.

Although off topic, it was a common occurance of women on packed commuter trains in Japan getting felt up by some nearby hard up salary man with the woman in question just suffering it until she could get off on the next stop. But now, women are starting to speak up and get those same men arrested, or at least detained for a good period of time.
If it is socially acceptable to be an asshole, assholes will abound but when it becomes difficult for assholes to act out, they'll stop, or at least go somewhere else. In Thailand, and especially in areas with many working girls, rudeness is tolerated by women mainly because they don't see any support from those around them. If one were to actively work towards demanding respective behavior from others around oneself, one might start seeing a difference, or at least start seeing more "freebies" coming one's way. ;)

You are always going to find that anywhere among men of Western thinking without an understanding of Eastern philosopy and ideals.
In the West, one pays for a sex and that is it no matter what one considers part of sex up to and including treating the one that one is with with disrespect, even in public, usually because the one in question himself gets no respect in public. But, in the East, it is much more than even just sex, there is an entire relationship that one enters into with one whom one shares their sexual desire and body with as there is also usually a sharing of feelings and thinking as well and sex may not even come into the picture at all.
Yes, I know I am talking about a very limited spectrum of the market but I also know of a number of professional women I have known in the past who tell of customers that only talk during their time together and don't even come any closer than a kiss hello and goodbye.

Then you have nothing to worry about. One thing I have learned over the last 30 years of living in the East, prejudices are harder to develop here than in the West. You may have a bit of work to get over someone's bad experience with another Farang in the past but if you just continue to be yourself and treat others as you normally would, you will be accepted for who and what you are.

Yes and No. Just like people around you where you live now, some people make quick judgements and will soon begin to treat eveyone of a certain background negatively but then again many others will treat each person as a new situation. Thailand is not an offworld planet that we travel to by rocketship, it is a country very much like the country Farangs come from, if it doesn't work in your country, it probably doesn't work in Thailand. Thailand is just cheaper, that's all.
In this post I do not mean to disagree with any of you but instead either tried to put a different light on the words you wrote, to which I agree, or to amplify what I felt you were trying to say.

Frankly, this story about the woman on the boat blows me out. Completely. I assume she was not in LOS for S/T with BG's so that means she may have seen a temple or two. And I know that the first thing you learn when you open any book or any travel literature on Thailand, they talk about how to approach a monk. So she should have known better, no excuse possible.
I have always taken CalEden's approach and try to be an ambassador for my country. I don't want the next guy who treads my path to be sullied by the dirt from my boots.
Ichi: regarding your take on sex with asian Public Women. I have lost count of the number of times I have enjoyed that privilege, and I agree with your take on this: you enter into more than a sexual contract with them, very un-Western like. I've had some extremely pleasant and very surprising encounters with these kinds of ladies -- most of these, incidently, not in LOS. Some of these have warmed my heart more than I can tell here. So I am very offended by rude behavior around these ladies. Again, no excuse.
