Hey Nic,
I found one that likes to walk, nothing for us to walk from Absolut 7 down to Country Road in Cowboy.
Also:
Turns her phone before bed & asks if I mind her turning it back on.
Never turns on the TV (prefers reading to TV)
Those are things I will not miss about Thai Girls in general
!
She is the first & only exception I have found.

Motorcycle taxi driver, to me, halfway through the trip:
"Today, 30 baht [instead of the usual 20]. Soi flooded."
Me to M/C taxi driver: "You lie. 20 baht, same as always".
M/C taxi driver: "OK"
There was about 50 meters of 10 cm deep water in one of the sois we had to traverse...

Ever looked at government people, and even especially immigration officers "anywhere", including the no-doubt lala-land country you come from. Try putting yourself in the shoes of a Thai showing up at your country's immigration check-in counter? Canada, US, Europe, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Guatemala, Saudi Arabia, Tuvalu, and god knows where else, all are the exact same. Actually, throw in all other 180 countries around the world - my absolute personal favorites are French and Indian bureaucrats! You could swear they're all out of the same mold!!! No smiley face at Thai immigration, but having gone through it possibly 100-200 times in the last 20 yrs, can't say anyone ever tried to scam me, out-right steal from me, ask for a bakshish, strip search me, been verbally abusive to me, or anything else truly unpleasant or mean as I've many times been exposed to in many countries, incl. my own (Canada).
I suggest you just stay comfortably home, order yourself home-delivery pizza, and keep watching Dr Phil. That should make you feel good about yourself!

I have to go along with Wagie on that one -- I've never had any issues whatsoever, and despite their lack of smile, have always been professional.
Maybe it's something about you, or maybe if you could elaborate on the instances that gave you those impressions?
