i am new in town and are they any places for crossdressers to meet and any particular establishments that cater to their needs like private places for us girls to dress and i dont mean ladyboy bars as that is something different which most people here mix the two up

As others can confirm, Bangkok is rather tame in terms of what's available for sexual adventurers.
I understand that it is an entirely different thing, but I think one likely avenue for meeting people of similar interests might be the gay community -- I know that a crossdresser is not necesssarily gay (it's my understanding that most aren't) but I think that the the Thais most likely to know anything about it would be gay as they are the largest "alternative lifestyle" sub-culture, and the community is rather amorphous.

For the rest of you brethren, first of all crossdressers by and large are not gay. The vast majority of men who enjoy, to one degree or another, wearing women's clothes are HETEROSEXUALS. And pro Dommes will tell you from experience, VERY VERY HETEROSEXUAL.
Because of the MYTH that crossdressers = gays CD's are among the most isolated, alienated, loneliest of fetishists, tragically misunderstood. We cater to a lot of CDs here, and although I do not personally share their kink (I'd look like Tugboat Annie in a frock) because of my position here I have gained a perspective.
What CDs want are women who won't reject them as 'gay' (they mostly aren't and in fact are usually violently homophobic as a consequence) and that is hard to find. Professional Dommes and Domination Houses are one outlet for these guys -- and let me assure you that most CDs and TVs we encounter are not at all frail feminine effeminate sissy types in normal life. Often quite the opposite. Big burly rugby player types, often...they just admire women so much they want to play the role. The compulsion is a strong one and often CDs go through a "binge and purge" cycle due to the extraordinary conflicts that exist internally and in society for them. It is really sad.
Anyway Chateau Jade is a CD friendly place.
Our Dommes can help with makeup, wigs, sourcing wardrobe, shoes, makeovers, and of course our meat and potatoes forced-feminization, slave slut training, domestic servitude as a maid-slut, etc etc.
Maybe 15% of our clientele are CDs.
Don't make fun of these guys. They have enough grief already.

MrJoe, you are right that most CDs aren't gay, and you are probably right that the gay community's own CDs would represent a possible resource -- but I can assure you that heterosexual CDs want nothing to do with the gay scene at all, by and large -- in my experience the % of CDs that are gay is about the same as the % of general population, maybe 10%, the other 90% being among the most virulent, intolerant homophobes one will ever encounter!!
This is because CDs are stereotyped as gay by family, girlfriends, wives, etc. and they mostly live a solitary closeted existance, very sad. What they want is an understanding compassionate FEMALE partner and that, because of the sterotype, is something few ever find.
And these men are often (to use a gay descriptor) VERY 'butch'. You would be amazed at some of the walks of life they come from -- NOT interior design by a long mile.

I already told you, brethren, many (non gay) CDs are in sensitive, responsible positions of authority that would be regarded as very macho. Police, military, security to name just a few. As such they are closeted but they do their jobs well and so what?

Am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you meant that last part in jest. Gender ID and sexual preference stem from a lot of things (I've researched beyond Reader's Digest on this one), and it behooves us all to practice tolerance, especially on this board. If no one is getting hurt (without their consent), and everyone is having fun, then when a member of the forum tosses out a legitimate request, we should treat it with respect.
